WWE Clash of Champions 2020: Alexa Bliss will steal the show

Alexa Bliss will not only be the highlight of WWE Clash of Champions, but she will be the reason we have an upset.

Alexa Bliss has been placed in a very interesting position. Her friendship with Nikki has become strained due to her exposure to The Fiend, which has obviously had a negative effect. For the past couple of weeks Bliss has been transforming into something different, which has affected how she’s treated Cross and faced Lacey Evans. Evans felt the wrath of that other Bliss persona on Smackdown Live this week.

This is where it gets interesting. 

As she was walking back up the ramp after her match which ended in a DQ, her music is cut short by the arrival of Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman. As he stands there she looks back at him with disgust. Why would she stare daggers through Reigns? Reigns took the title from The Fiend. She now has embraced her connection to The Fiend, which means Reigns is the enemy.

Both championship matches are connected to Bliss. Nikki Cross feels that she can save her friend, but it will be Bliss’s Fiend-like alter ego that will deliver the Smackdown Women’s title to her. Cross and Bliss have been a dynamic tag team due for a year and half, and it’s doubtful she’ll just let The Fiend take Bliss from her. Nonetheless, Cross will capitalize from Bliss and her new found persona.  It may start out with Bliss ringside, but it will end with her darker side when the match is over.

When it comes to Reigns, he’s going to realize Sunday that he cannot dismiss The Fiend so quickly. Bliss will play a major part in disrupting Roman Reigns. Will it be enough to dethrone him? No. It should be a foregone conclusion he’ll retain the title at WWE Clash of Champions, but the win will make him face The Fiend next. Remember, he didn’t pin The Fiend at WWE Payback, he pinned Braun Strowman to win the Universal Championship. This leaves that storyline wide open for development, and Bliss is the key to making that happen. When WWE Clash of Champions is over, we will all realize that The Fiend, through the help of Alexa Bliss, has been pulling the strings all along.
