WWE have not done the members of RETRIBUTION any favors with the way they have booked this storyline on Raw, so the talent have taken matters into their own hands.

There’s nothing quite like watching wrestlers in WWE take the garbage Vince McMahon gives them and somehow make it work. In the age of social media, some WWE superstars are able to leverage their wit and whatever limited freedom they get, turning that into organic – for lack of a better term – “overness”.

WWE have completely mishandled RETRIBUTION on Raw. Their promos don’t make sense, their entire existence doesn’t make sense, and their debut match ended in a really tame disqualification.

But for as much as people have tuned out of RETRIBUTION on a show hitting new lows in the TV ratings, the fans on social media are tuning back in due to RETRIBUTION’s Twitter game.

They’ve been forcing people to quote their tweets to spread the word, shutting off replies. And they’ve been going after people in wrestling, including wrestling writers, who say negative things about them.

WWE RETRIBUTION’s T-Bar had a harsh response to Eric Bischoff’s criticism

RETRIBUTION’s apparent leader T-Bar called out Eric Bischoff, who plainly said “It sucks” when asked for his thoughts about the RETRIBUTION storyline thus far.

T-Bar’s response? A verbal evisceration of the man who once led WCW – the biggest competitor to WWE’s success in history in the United States.

He said of Bischoff,

"“Thank you @EBischoff. You are a huge inspiration for #RETRIBUTION! We too aspire to one day destroy a billion dollar wrestling company and bury it under fiery wreckage.”"

Alright, pack it in. That’s the tweet of the day. RETRIBUTION aren’t booked at WWE Clash of Champions 2020 – though they may show up – but T-Bar has already stolen the show with his burial of Bischoff.

Is T-Bar’s statement true? No. But it’s clever and entertaining, and it’s brought more attention onto RETRIBUTION. That’s far more than what we can say about anything Vince McMahon has done for this storyline, which was botched from the beginning.

dark. Next. Zelina Vega should win the Raw Women's Title

But Dij– I mean, uh, T-Bar and the rest of the crew are doing everything they can to make sure fans stay interested. That has to be praised.
