WWE Hell in a Cell 2020 will take place on Oct. 25, and the main event for the show is already penciled in.
The two biggest storylines heading into WWE Hell in a Cell 2020 are on the Blue Brand. Sasha Banks vs. Bayley is absolutely one of those, and we saw Sasha get some revenge on Bayley at Clash of Champions. And then the second is everything Roman Reigns is doing with the Universal Title, as he and Jey Uso put on a main event for the ages at Clash of Champions.
Over on Raw, Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton are set to have another rivalry match for the WWE Championship at Hell in a Cell, even though McIntyre has defeated Orton twice.
But which of these three world title feuds will main event Hell in a Cell?
According to a report from WrestleVotes, Sasha Banks vs. Bayley is currently planned as the main event of WWE Hell in a Cell 2020.
Sasha Banks is no stranger to WWE Hell in a Cell matches
Banks has been in two cell matches in her career, including the main event of 2016’s Pay Per View. She faced Charlotte Flair in her first cell match that year and then lost again to Becky Lynch at last year’s Hell in a Cell in what was arguably the best match of 2019.
Now, Banks could be headed for a third Hell in a Cell match against her greatest ever rival, Bayley. These two put on matches for the ages at TakeOver specials, so you can only imagine what they are capable of doing on Oct. 25 inside the cell in the show’s main event. They have been two of the best wrestlers on this planet in 2020, carrying Raw and SmackDown this summer with their storyline.
Who will win? My money would be on Bayley, because if this rivalry is to continue beyond Hell in a Cell, perhaps even into next year’s Royal Rumble and WrestleMania PPVs, then Bayley needs to maintain her dominance as SmackDown Women’s Champion before losing.
But we shall see. Whatever the case, Sasha vs. Bayley, when it happens, has to main event the show. That’s unquestionable.
