WWE Hell in a Cell 2020: 3 possible opponents for Asuka

I think it’s too early for this matchup, but Bianca Belair vs. Asuka at Hell in a Cell would be one of the best Pay Per View matches of the year. First-time matchups are always exciting, and a match between Belair and Asuka would be highly-anticipated by wrestling fans.

They are two of the strongest wrestlers on the Red Brand right now and have so much charisma. Their in-ring segments in the build to a match would be amazing. Belair vs. Asuka is a WrestleMania-worthy match.

But that’s precisely why this match may not happen. If Belair and Asuka could have a title match at WrestleMania, then why do it now? WWE could make that a preview and have Asuka barely beat Belair, but do they want Belair to lose her first Pay Per View match? I don’t want that.

Still, Belair is on the radar of wrestlers who could be Asuka’s opponent at Hell in a Cell, because it’s also entirely possible she pulls off the upset. Keith Lee beat Randy Orton in his Pay Per View debut at Payback, and while that wasn’t a title match, Orton appears to be closing in on the WWE Title. So then it’s well within reason for Belair to beat Asuka for the title on her debut, and, in fact, it would be better for that to happen since it would immediately establish the EST as the unstoppable force that she is. I mean, remember what she did in the Royal Rumble?
