WWE star will miss ‘a couple of weeks’ with broken nose
WWE will miss one of its current full-time legends for a couple of weeks after she suffered a broken nose in a recent match.
Mickie James returned to WWE Raw in August, and wrestling fans were eager to see her challenge Asuka for the women’s title.
While Zelina Vega got the singles match at Clash of Champions and impressed just about everyone in the process, James seems due for a title opportunity after her match with Asuka on Raw was cut short. Because the ref thought she was injured. Because she’s that good of a seller.
Unfortunately, James has suffered a legitimate injury, as she explained on her YouTube channel.
James stated that she broke her nose in a recent match and cannot wrestle for “a couple of weeks”.
She explained more about the injury, as transcribed by Fightful.com’s Carlos Toro:
"“Unfortunately that sucks… It wasn’t severe. It wasn’t like my nose was blasted across my face. It was more like a curve and I can’t breath out the one side and I’ll be honest, I thought it was gonna be a lot more painful, to get it fixed. It was more like pressure to get it fixed.”"

It’s disappointing to hear that Mickie James suffered an injury and cannot wrestle for a couple of weeks, but it’s good to hear that the injury wasn’t as painful as she anticipated. Hopefully, the pressure of the injury subsides and she can get back out there to her best soon.
The WWE Draft is coming up on the nights of Oct. 9 and 12, so Mickie could be headed to SmackDown from Raw. Some fans would like to see her in NXT, noting how amazing her TakeOver Toronto match was with Asuka. But Asuka still owes her a match for the Raw Women’s Title, right? So a stay on the Red Brand may be the best option for the wrestling icon.

Whatever the case, James will brighten our nights whenever she’s in the ring or cutting a promo. We’re just here to enjoy as much as we can of her greatness, and hopefully we can see her in the ring in a couple of weeks.
