WWE Hell in a Cell 2020 is just a few days away. The Universal Championship will be on the line, but can Jey Uso shock the world and upset Roman Reigns?

WWE Hell in a Cell 2020 will emanate from the WWE ThunderDome this Sunday, and one of the night’s most highly anticipated matches will see Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against his cousin Jey Uso. Not only will these two square off with the title on the line inside Hell in a Cell, but it will also be an “I Quit” Match.

Going into WWE Clash of Champions, it was exciting to get what really proved to be our first glimpse of Jey Uso as a singles competitor and a legit main event star. Ever since arriving in WWE, we’ve exclusively seen him alongside his brother Jimmy in a tag team as The Usos.

While their success as a team is undeniable, we’re witnessing something special as Jey Uso comes into his own while standing against “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns. It wasn’t surprising that Reigns took the win at Clash of Champions, but the manner in which he did it was truly shocking.

WWE Hell in a Cell could deliver a shocking upset

Now, the stage could be set for a shocking upset. The cards seem impossibly stacked against Jey Uso heading into WWE Hell in a Cell, as he’s not only competing inside Hell in a Cell but will do so in an “I Quit” Match.

Since returning at WWE SummerSlam and winning the Universal Championship just one week later at WWE Payback, Roman Reigns has taken on an entirely new attitude that seems to have made him more dangerous than ever. At Clash of Champions, that attitude transformed into a relentless assault on Jey Uso, but it’s important to remember that Jey never gave in.

Jey Uso not only refused to give in to Roman Reigns demanding Jey “acknowledge” him as “The Tribal Chief,” but he also didn’t lose the match until Jimmy Uso threw in the towel for his brother. Despite the unrelenting attacks by Roman Reigns, Jey Uso simply would not give in.

While it may seem unlikely that Roman Reigns could lose the Universal Championship so soon after his monumental return, it has the potential to become a reality. As unlikely as it might seem that Roman Reigns, especially this Roman Reigns, would say the words “I Quit,” the resolve of Jey Uso might prove to be enough to pull off the upset.

Next. Is Roman Reigns vs. The Rock really possible?. dark

Wrestling is at its best when we don’t know what’s going to happen next. Roman Reigns defeating Jey Uso to retain the Universal Championship seems like the obvious outcome, and that’s exactly why Jey Uso’s upset could truly be the outcome we never saw coming.
