Sasha Banks needs to win a WWE Hell in a Cell match

As mentioned earlier, this will be Sasha Banks’ third match inside Hell in a Cell, she is yet to win any of those previous battles. In 2016, she lost to Charlotte Flair, four years later, she came up short against Becky Lynch.

Having a reputation of losing big matches has followed Banks around for a while. “The Standard-Bearer” may be a former five-time women’s champion but those reigns have been a total of 112 days, with her most recent run ending in just 34 days. That is underwhelming, especially when you consider how talented she is and how long her counterparts have been champion for. Former Raw Women’s Champions Alexa Bliss, Ronda Rousey, and Becky Lynch held the title for 223, 232, and 375 days respectively. Asuka, who is the current titleholder on Raw, has been champion for 60 days. Bayley is closing in on 400 days as the champion on Friday Night’s, quite a contrast to her challenger’s record.

Banks has to shake that stigma sooner rather than later, she is now the top female babyface on SmackDown, in that position, the WWE Universe has to believe in you.

With her current win/loss record, those fans may not have total faith that she will get the job done against Bayley – that is why the Boston native must triumph inside Hell in a Cell. She does not want to be known for always choking on the big stage – Sunday could be considered the biggest match of Banks’ career to date, losing is not an option.
