The Super J Cup brings out some of the top names from IMPACT, Ring of Honor, NJPW and others that should have fans excited about the tournament.

New Japan Pro Wrestling excels in a lot of different ways, but their tournament formats keep people coming and speculating. The promotion recently released the fields for both the Best of the Super Juniors and the Super J Cup. These events feature some of the best talents in the division across professional wrestling. The Super J Cup is set for December 12 in the United States with many names that mainstream and hardcore wrestling fans will enjoy.

For the second year in a row, New Japan is bringing a major tournament over to the United States. The list of competitors scheduled for the Super J Cup jumps off the page.

The 2019 winner, El Phantasmo is back to defend his throne. He is continued to put together a strong run in NJPW and should be expected to go far in this year’s tournament as well. He is joined by another NJPW competitor in Clark Connors. But where this field shines is the inclusion of both freelance wrestlers and some important names signed to major companies.

IMPACT names TJP and Chris Bey are taking part in this tournament. TJP is a former WWE cruiserweight champion and his career post-WWE has been marred by multiple controversies and lackluster performances in the ring. However, Bey is the name to watch as he has the full potential and growing star power to win this event. Fans are clamoring to see more of Bey, and this is a major opportunity to gain a lot of traction as he pushes to become a main event star. Ring of Honor has also sent over one of their champions, as Rey Horus is scheduled to compete.

Then there is the freelancers, Blake Christian, ACH and Lio Rush. Fans may not know too much about Christian, but he is another young talent that has performed well when the eyes are on him. ACH and Lio Rush are the two names that should get everyone excited. Rush is a former WWE cruiserweight champion, and he is one of the few cruiserweights that made their way into the main event picture – albeit not as a singles performer. ACH, while more known for his trying exit with WWE, is one of the best competitors not signed to a major promotion in the world. He deserves to be signed if that is his choice and whenever he is stepped into the ring, he is reminded everyone that he deserves the praise that comes his way. Expect to see either Rush or ACH in the final of the tournament.
