WWE has eyes on talented wrestlers performing for competing promotion AEW.

Initially reported by on Fightful Select it seems that WWE has begun reaching out to wrestlers featured on AEW Dark in recent weeks looking to sign them away from the rival promotion.

AEW Dark features a combination of signed and unsigned wrestlers and is used primarily as a try out for those talents that AEW may be interested in signing going forward. Ben Carter has featured several times on AEW Dark as well as the episode of Late Night Dynamite and impressed the WWE executives before signing with the company. He is expected to make his debut in the coming weeks.

While it is not clear who the WWE has been reaching out to at this time signing promising talents away from rival companies is nothing new for the wrestling behemoth.

Which wrestlers on AEW Dark could be fits in WWE NXT?

A major selling point of the initial Monday Night Wars was that the wrestlers seemed to change brand loyalties at will. Jumping back and forth to work for the highest bidder. Wrestling fans would tune in every Monday and wait to see if their favorites had ended up in Atlanta, Philadelphia, or Stamford.

There are several wrestlers who are currently featured heavily on AEW Dark as non contracted talents would fit into the culture of NXT very well. There are the likes of Fuego Del Sol and his tag team partner Low Rider, who work the Lucha Libre style that NXT has begun to focus much more heavily on. Sean Maluta and Griff Garrison would also fit into the WWE way of wrestling as well.

There has been no word at this time if the main roster contracted talents have also been contacted, but it is hard to imagine that the WWE has not been heavily pursuing main roster talents as well.
