Roman Reigns seems to be on track for a feud with Kevin Owens at TLC this month, but who will he face at WWE Royal Rumble 2021?

There is no doubt that Roman Reigns and Sasha Banks are the top two stars in wrestling right now. They are the champions on SmackDown and will be the champions for the forseeable future, as the wrestling calendar flips to WWE Royal Rumble 2021 and the Road to WrestleMania 37 that it begins.

Reigns’ feud with Jey Uso has become a partnership that is leading to the full-on formation of the Bloodline stable. And now he has a new feud with Kevin Owens, who has disrespected both Jey and Roman.

Owens vs. Reigns seems to be the match at TLC, but, before the most recent episode of SmackDown, it looked like a dream rivalry between heel Roman Reigns and babyface Daniel Bryan would be on the cards.

According to the Wrestling Observer News’ Dave Meltzer, via IWNerd.com, WWE is “leaning toward” having that Universal Title match between Reigns and Bryan at the Royal Rumble Pay Per View on Jan. 24.

It looks like WWE fans could see Owens vs. Reigns at TLC and then Bryan vs. Reigns at the Rumble. Bryan, though, is already in a compelling feud with Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship and seems poised to become the next IC Champion. He could then elevate the title with Open Challenges and be the fighting champion he wants to see on television each week.

Perhaps we could even get a champion vs. champion feud at the Rumble between Reigns and Bryan. That would be extremely interesting, and it would clear out space for an up-and-comer to get a spot in the Rumble over Bryan while Bryan still gets to represent the IC Championship by having a banger of a match with the top male star in WWE.
