WWE SmackDown is scheduled to take place on December 11, 2020, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on FOX.

On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, there are neither scheduled matches nor scheduled segments, as of this writing. As for WWE TLC 2020, there are two matches scheduled from the blue brand: (1) Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship in a TLC match, and (2) Sasha Banks (c) vs. Carmella for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Thanks to WWE’s contrived booking techniques that left WWE Raw in high waters, it would not be too surprising to see WWE book a ton load of matches for TLC at the last minute on its social media account. Nonetheless, it’s now time to preview and predict the matches and segments that will occur on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

5.) Street Profits vs. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura [Tag Match]

On last week’s SmackDown, Robert Roode confronted the Street Profits to remind them of his and Dolph Ziggler’s future title opportunity after defeating them in a non-title bout on SmackDown two weeks ago. Street Profits just defeated the greatest tag team in The New Day at Survivor Series and immediately lost to Roode and Ziggler. Clearly, the non-title victory trope needs to stop because it only makes the champions look weak.

Cesaro interrupted this interaction to make his case that he and Nakamura have still not received their rematches for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships ever since losing them to The New Day last month. Rematch clauses do not exist anymore, so they might as well continue the nonsensical non-title victory trope to include Cesaro and Nakamura in a triple threat title match. It’s better to keep it consistent, right?

Prediction: Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura
