1. Edge returns at the Royal Rumble

I don’t believe anybody doubted that this would be the top moment of the year. When Edge made his shocking return at the 2020 Royal Rumble, grown men were in tears around the world. Edge was almost in tears himself as he made his way to the ring for his first match in nine long years.

The crowd went wild in one of the only top moments of the year to have a live crowd. Edge showed up in tremendous shape and showed that he hadn’t missed a step. He took out everyone in his path with a spear. He was even able to hit Roman Reigns with a spear, a move that many fans had been dreaming of for years.

For a short period of time, Edge worked alongside his former tag team partner, Randy Orton, before turning on him and eliminating him from the match. A move that would lead to painful consequences for Edge from Orton.

Alongside eventual winner Drew McIntyre, Reigns, and Orton, Edge was a part of the final four participants. He was eventually eliminated by Roman finishing 3rd in the match. However, the world wouldn’t stop talking about this moment for months. Edge was officially cleared for in-ring competition and fans were excited for good reason.

Edge would go on to feud with Randy Orton up to a match between the two at WrestleMania 36. Edge defeated Randy at WrestleMania in a grueling last man standing match. He is currently recovering from a torn tricep suffered in a match against Orton.

However, I am hoping that Edge decides to pull a three-peat and make his third return during a Royal Rumble match. Expect more from “The Rated R Superstar” in 2021.
