WWE SmackDown is scheduled to take place on December 18, 2020, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on FOX.

On this week’s go-home episode of WWE SmackDown, there are no scheduled segments but there are two scheduled matches, as of this writing: (1) Bianca Belair vs. Bayley and (2) Street Profits (c) vs. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. These two matches are PPV-worthy, so this should be a blockbuster episode.

As for WWE TLC 2020, there are only two matches scheduled from the blue brand: (1) Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship in a TLC match, and (2) Sasha Banks (c) vs. Carmella for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. It’s hard to believe that the WWE will only book two TLC matches from the blue brand.

Since there are only two matches from the blue brand scheduled for TLC, expect WWE to book some last-minute matches for TLC either on this episode or on its social media account during the weekend. Nonetheless, it’s now time to preview and predict the matches and segments that will occur on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

5.) Street Profits (c) vs. Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler [SmackDown Tag Team Championships]

Since the Street Profits defeated The New Day at Survivor Series, they are now recognized as the greatest tag team in the WWE today. With that being said, the fact that they lost to Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler a week or two later was questionable. It is understandable that the WWE wanted to establish Roode and Ziggler as the next number one contenders, but these non-title victories over champions are senseless because it makes the champions look weak.

Nonetheless, with WWE’s usual 50:50 booking in play, Street Profits will regain their momentum by decisively retaining the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Roode and Ziggler. The Slammy Awards are coming up, and no other tag team deserves the ‘tag team of the year’ award more than the Street Profits. They need to win here to solidify their spot as the best tag team of 2020, who has held the fort in the tag team division since March.

Prediction: Street Profits
