A Christmas wishlist for WWE.

Dear WWE Creative Team,

Mere sleeps away from the big night that Santa arrives, and while this year doesn’t feel like other years, I’m still focused on what is truly important during this time and always: my family, my friends, health, and love.

With that said, my Christmas list isn’t too high in 2020; however, when it comes to “wish” lists for my favorite WWE superstars and storylines, I may have a few.

All I want for Christmas is to see Mustafa Ali get a real creative break. He’s phenomenal on the mic, incredible in that ring, and you guys dropped the ball on his Retribution angle, massively this year. He could be at the top of the ladder and was *almost* once there. It felt like just as he was going to do something special, momentum built, the rug got pulled out from under him, and his faction was buried. Can Santa be creative and provide something substantial for Ali this holiday season and beyond?

I love Asuka, and I love that Charlotte returned to in-ring action this past Sunday to finally become a Women’s Triple Crown Champion and Grand Slam Champion. I get why Lana was removed from the equation, to usher a major Flair return, and while we all knew what was coming, I celebrated none-the-less. But could it be time to allow the ladies of the Riott Squad to enjoy some spotlight? Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott shine in that squared circle; however, have not been given enough opportunities to hit the milestones they deserve. Could we have a feud after the holidays? Could these women become champions, too? Side note, which shouldn’t be a side note, more Billie Kay on television and pay-per-views (PPVs)! Talk about taking a lemon and making lemonade!

Lastly, Bray Wyatt and his Fiend. A harsh and scary “villain”, the Fiend and Wyatt alike continue to fascinate the WWE Universe during promos and in matches. He’s a creative gem, even when RAW is at its dullest, you can always count on Firefly Fun House to peak a fan’s interest.

While he burned away at TLC, I can’t help but think that this isn’t the last of Bray or The Fiend. Will he evolve into another character? Or will he simply return unexpectedly? Navigate easy with this talent, WWE Creative, but may I ask the powers the be to grant a Christmas wish in January? For the Fiend to win the 2021 Royal Rumble.

Next. Who is next for Sasha Banks?. dark

Also, another championship run for Kevin Owens would make a great stocking stuffer! (especially after his TLC performance)

Wishing you and the WWE Universe a very Merry Christmas, WWE Creative! It hasn’t been an easy year, but you have provided some entertaining moments to help some of us forget our struggles. For that, I am grateful!

Signed,

Me.
