On this week’s go-home episode of WWE Raw, there is only one scheduled segment: Drew McIntyre and Goldberg will have a final face off. Since this bout evidently extricates any fan from watching three hours of Raw, there’s a strong possibility that the card will be subject to change, as was done with Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship match on SmackDown.

The WWE has already kickstarted its road to WrestleMania as it builds towards the Royal Rumble. It has already announced that Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and Mr. MITB The Miz from WWE Raw will partake in the Men’s Royal Rumble, while Nia Jax, Charlotte Flair, Mandy Rose, and Dana Brooke from WWE Raw will partake in the Women’s Royal Rumble.

The only title match that has been added thus far is Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Goldberg for the WWE Title. Other possible title matches that could be added are: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Riddle for the United States Title, Asuka & Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax for the Women’s Tag Team Titles, and Hurt Business (c) vs. Lucha House Party for the Raw Tag Team Titles.

Since there is only one title match from the red brand scheduled for the Rumble, expect WWE to book some last-minute title matches for the pay-per-view on this episode. With that being said, it’s now time to preview and predict the matches and segments that will occur on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, starting with Xavier Woods’ nascent singles run.

WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on January 18, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT live on the USA Network.  Here are some predictions for this week’s show.

5.) Xavier Woods vs. SlapJack [Grudge Match]

SlapJack is a fun card game, but Xavier Woods would have to play his cards right in order to pick up the win against this member of RETRIBUTION. Unfortunately, that won’t be the case. As can be substantiated by his two losses to T-Bar and Mace in the past two weeks, Woods is on the verge of jobbing to a group that has not been booked on PPV since it took center stage on the main roster. SlapJack will inevitably pick up the win here.

Nonetheless, there is a silver lining to this storyline. The leader of RETRIBUTION, Mustafa Ali, has already made it known that his main target is Kofi Kingston, who is currently out of action due to a jaw injury. Kingston is Ali’s main target since he was the superstar who replaced Ali in the WWE Title Elimination Chamber Match in 2019 that led to his first WWE Championship at that year’s WrestleMania. Woods is merely the stepping stone to Ali’s full fledged revenge.

Prediction: SlapJack
