Has Alexa Bliss transformed into the Fiend herself?
By Donny Starr
Believe it or not, the WWE Women’s Championship match this week on Monday Night Raw had nothing to do with Alexa Bliss. Let me explain.
Last week on Raw, the match between Alexa Bliss and Asuka was really The Fiend vs. Asuka. The Fiend isn’t dead, but channeled in spirit inside the body of Alexa Bliss. Bliss is his apprentice. This is the reason why Alexa was so passive during her match. Anyone who follows the ring work of Alexa Bliss knows she is very active and doesn’t waste a lot of time in defeating her opponents.
The Fiend, on the other hand, is very passive. Most of the time he comes off as someone who can feel no pain and lethargic. Bliss shared many of these qualities during her Jan. 18th match vs. Asuka. In fact, she tried to use the Mandible Claw and successfully hit Sister Abigal on Asuka to get the win.
Not one time did she even try to land Twisted Bliss. This isn’t Alexa.
Alexa Bliss has been possessed by The Fiend’s spirit. Last week what we saw were two spirits working together for the first time.
This theory was supported by this week’s episode of Far when Alexa Bliss faced Asuka for the Women’s Championship. Midway through the match Alexa’s entrance music hits, and the camera cuts to Asuka, and then back to what appears to be Alexa Bliss without The Fiend’s spirit. The behavior of Alexa appeared to be a preparation for the possession as shortly afterward the lights would go out and come back on with Alexa posed upside down at the corner turnbuckle, a normal pose for The Fiend/Bray Wyatt. In fact, the transformation mirrors that of Wyatt and The Fiend but, unlike Bliss, Wyatt has full control over his faculties. He’s the dominant of the two.
The final evidence of my theory is Randy Orton giving Bliss the RKO to end the show. I think Randy knows it’s not Alexa, thus being the reason he RKO’d her with no hesitation. He gets it.
I’ve seen the headlines by many Bloggers who feel Alexa is presenting new character, but I have to disagree. When Randy Orton burned The Fiend it was a chance to take The Fiend to another level, a more spiritual one. This character is the new darkness for the WWE. The Undertaker is gone. Someone must fill the void. I believe that responsibility has been passed to The Fiend.
