Bobby Lashley vs Matt Riddle – who needs the victory more

Bobby Lashley and Matt Riddle are two talented superstars on the WWE roster. Lashley holds the United States Title, while Riddle is one of his most relevant opponents. It is his work alongside Lashley and the rest of the Hurt Business that has helped him elevate his character. It makes him one of the only credible opponents for the CEO of The Hurt Business.

During his time with the WWE, Lashley has seen all types of opponents, both big and small. What is interesting about Riddle is that while he may be the smaller man, his pedigree and tenure in mixed martial arts is higher than that of Lashley who competed in the same sport. The question remains on who should get the last laugh during this on-going feud taking the title home after the Royal Rumble this weekend.

Matt Riddle is a name that hardcore fans were aware of long before he stepped through the WWE curtain. Riddle has continued to rise up the roster, regardless of his out of competition actions that have led to a formal lawsuit against the performer. Still, he is seen as a valuable member of the roster by those in leadership positions. The bigger question though emerges if he deserves a win right now. Does it help the Original Bro as WrestleMania draws closer?

Giving Riddle a title victory at the Royal Rumble may not be the best step for him at this time. Instead, it might be a better situation for his career if he was to pick up a clean win over a competitor booked as strongly as Lashley at the biggest WWE event of the year, WrestleMania.

Bobby Lashley is The Almighty, and he does have a mighty team by his side in the form of MVP, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin. These past few weeks, it seems like the cracks in the foundation of the Hurt Business have taken over. Even though this group is loved by WWE fans, it may not be around much longer.

Lashley and his team may break soon, and then the United States Champion will be all by himself.  Without the rest of the faction in place, Lashley will be isolated giving Riddle less to have to overcome. If the splitting of the Hurt Business does come through, then that would help Riddle open the door to a clean win over the champion. Perhaps something happens at the Royal Rumble to help everything fall apart for Lashley and the Hurt Business.

Bobby Lashley and Matt Riddle are set to battle at the Royal Rumble for the right to carry the United States champion. It will be interesting to see who walks out of the event with the title as both men have strong arguments for winning the match.
