WWE Raw Predictions: Edge Will Target Drew McIntyre

4.) Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax (c) vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke [Women’s Tag Team Championships]
On last night’s WWE Royal Rumble 2021, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax won back the Women’s Tag Team Titles from Asuka and Charlotte Flair. Since Flair will be busy feuding with Lacey Evans and will inevitably feud with Asuka over the Raw Women’s Championship, Baszler and Jax should no longer have to worry about the Queens of Tomorrow. Now, Baszler and Jax will very likely go on a tear through the women’s tag team division and walk into Mania with those belts.
It is expected that NXT’s Dusty Rhodes Classic Winners will get their shot against Baszler and Jax at one of the TakeOvers in the coming months. However, in the meantime, Baszler and Jax can maintain the relevancy of the tag team titles on the main roster by defending them against Raw’s Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke. Baszler and Jax have been decimating Rose and Brooke for the past few weeks now, so it would be a filler momentum boost for them to retain here.
Prediction: Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax
3.) Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Riddle [United States Championship]
On last week’s WWE Raw, Riddle defeated Shelton Benjamin, MVP, and Cedric Alexander in a Gauntlet Match to become the number one contender for the United States Championship. Many fans thought that this title match would occur at the Rumble, but it was never made official for the match card. Since the Rumbles took so much time in the show, it made sense for the WWE to avoid the overload. This means that the title match will very likely happen on this episode.
Riddle actually has a solid chance at dethroning Lashley, but Hurt Business should really lose all of the championships on a bigger stage, such as WrestleMania. That way, their title reigns and title changes are seen as valuable. Hurt Business has been a top faction on Raw for the majority of 2020, has elevated the midcard and tag team divisions, and must be taken seriously on the road to WrestleMania in order to elevate themselves to the main event scene. Lashley has to retain.
