WWE Elimination Chamber 2021: Ranking each man’s chances of winning
To open the Feb. 8 episode of Raw, Shane McMahon and Adam Pearce announced that Drew McIntyre will defend the WWE Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021 inside the chamber itself. He will go up against five former world champions in Sheamus, Jeff Hardy, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and The Miz.
It’s a gauntlet of opponents for the current champion, who has carried the belt with aplomb over the past year since winning it at WrestleMania 36.
But does he have the best chance of walking out of the Pay Per View as champion?
Let’s rank the six men competing in this WWE Title match based on their chances of emerging victorious on Feb. 21.
6. The Miz
Yes, the Money in the Bank briefcase holder is the least logical winner at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021, and I have no choice but to rank him last. It’s funny because my initial prediction has backfired horribly, as I actually thought Miz would cash-in the briefcase on McIntyre after a multi-man match.
Technically, Miz can still win the title by losing this match and cashing in afterward on McIntyre anyway. That could put over McIntyre and still set in motion a title reign for the A-Lister.
But when it comes to actually winning this match, I think Miz’s chances are essentially zero.
5. Jeff Hardy
Honestly, Jeff Hardy’s chances of winning the WWE Title are just as low. The Charismatic Enigma was the Intercontinental Champion in 2020 for a brief period of time, but he’s since returned to lackluster mid-card feuds as a member of the Monday Night Raw roster.
A final world title run for Hardy could be in the cards one day, but it’s clearly not happening now. He’s going to have an awesome performance inside the Chamber, but he’s not winning.
