WWE SmackDown Predictions: Seth Rollins Will Anoint Daniel Bryan

2.) Bianca Belair vs. Reginald (w/Carmella) [Grudge Match]

On last week’s WWE SmackDown, Bianca Belair, the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble Winner, whooped Reginald with her hair. Belair has not selected her opponent yet but she made it clear that she will not tolerate nonsense from Carmella and her sommelier, Reginald. Belair and Carmella will very likely battle at some point before WrestleMania. They have history from Survivor Series, and it would be neat to capitalize on that history.

However, in order to protect Carmella’s momentum, Belair can defeat Reginald in the mean time. Belair has already garnered interest in a match with Reginald after whooping him with her hair. She did this in response to Reginald’s comments about Belair not having what it takes to dethrone Sasha Banks. Belair will defeat Reginald to shut him up for good and continue her momentum en route to WrestleMania 37, where she will finally meet Banks in a dream match of the making.

1.) Seth Rollins vs. Daniel Bryan [Grudge Match]

On the October 16, 2020 episode of WWE SmackDown, Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan had a confrontation. Daniel Bryan considered Rollins’ visions short-sighted, self-indulgent, and ‘dumb.’ Rollins and Bryan already planted the seeds for a future rivalry, and they should capitalize on that. Rollins also eliminated Daniel Bryan from the Royal Rumble this year, which should be a key sign that their rivalry will take center stage on the blue brand.

It would be ideal to book Bryan to defeat Rollins before Bryan battles fellow Shield member, Roman Reigns, for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 37. Rollins is usually the stepping stone for the main event scene. Bryan has not won many big matches recently, so a victory over Rollins and a Royal Rumble victory thereafter can give him the momentum he needs for Reigns at Mania. However, this is Rollins’ return match, so his victory is inevitable here. Stay tuned.
