WWE adds two new members to the NXT roster
WWE added two independent wrestlers to the roster as talent acquisitions picked up this week.
The WWE is slowly going back into hiring mode after slowing things down in 2020 as the global pandemic of COVID-19 raged across the world. This week, two new signees known across independent wrestling circles were added to the WWE roster with contracts.
Fightful Select broke the news this week of both Christian Casanova and Blake Christian signing with WWE.
A Massachusetts native, fans of promotions like Beyond Wrestling, GCW, and Limitless Wrestling will recognize Casanova. Casanova comes into this next phase of his career with seven years of wrestling under his belt. Known as “The Thriller from New England,” and the “Top Talent,” Casanova has held titles in both Limitless and Northeast Wrestling.
Christian is 23-years old, hailing from Missouri. According to his Cagematch profile, his wrestling career started back in 2019, and he has taken part in matches within Black Lapel Pro, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Game Changer Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. He recently was a part of Impact where he put on a series of exceptional matches against the likes of Ace Austin. Back in GCW, he had a must-see match against Lee Moriarty as well.
WWE continues to re-stock their roster. Christian and Casanova join other recently signed talents such as MSK (formerly known as The Rascalz), Priscilla Kelly, and others. Christian and Casanova are set to be the newest members of the NXT brand.
