On this week’s go-home episode of WWE SmackDown, there are no scheduled segments but there is one scheduled six-man tag match featuring the Universal Title Number One Contender’s Elimination Chamber contestants: Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, and Kevin Owens vs. Jey Uso, King Corbin, and Sami Zayn. This match has been billed as the main event for the show and should tease what the fans will witness at this Sunday’s Elimination Chamber event.

Indeed, the WWE has already kickstarted its road to WrestleMania 37 as it builds towards the Elimination Chamber. Since there is only one episode left before the PPV, expect the WWE to book some last-minute replacements and title matches for the pay-per-view on this episode. Elimination Chamber is still the pivotal roadblock to Mania that could change who the champions are and what the potential matchups could be at Mania.

According to WWE’s official website, the only official WWE SmackDown match for the PPV is Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens vs. Jey Uso vs. King Corbin vs. Sami Zayn for the Universal Championship Number One Contender’s Spot inside the Elimination Chamber. The winner of that match will move on to battle Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship on the same night. There might be two more matches added from SmackDown’s go-home show this week.

With that being said, it’s now time to preview and predict the matches and segments that will occur on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown is scheduled to take place on February 19, 2021 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on FOX. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.

5.) The Street Profits vs. Otis & Gable vs. Mysterios [SmackDown Tag Team Titles Number One Contender’s Match]

On last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, The Street Profits, Otis & Chad Gable, and The Mysterios were all involved in tag team matches. Henceforth, these three teams seem to be the established tag teams in the SmackDown Tag Team Division. It would be fitting for them to battle in a number one contender’s triple threat match to determine the next challengers for Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode’s SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Ziggler and Roode already defeated Street Profits to become the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, and they already defeated Otis & Gable in a non-title match two weeks ago. In order to keep things fresh, it would be ideal for Mysterios to win and kickstart a feud with Ziggler and Roode on the road to WrestleMania. They can build this feud all the way to Mania, where the Mysterios can win the titles and have a feel-good “father and son” babyface moment as champs.

Prediction: Mysterios
