WWE SmackDown Predictions: Edge Will Deceive Roman Reigns

2.) Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair vs. Carmella & Reginald [Inter-Gender Tag Match]
This past Sunday at Elimination Chamber, Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair lost their Women’s Tag Team Championship match against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax due to an “inadvertent” distraction from Reginald. Banks and Belair weren’t too happy about this and will hopefully take care of business on this episode of WWE SmackDown. Henceforth, it would make sense for Banks and Belair to battle Carmella and Reginald in a tag team match.
Banks and Belair should not take any more losses on the road to WrestleMania because they need to look strong for their title match. It was already bad enough that Banks took a clean pin to Nia Jax at Elimination Chamber. She should not be doing the same for Carmella and Reginald, who have not even been on the same page recently. Consequently, Banks and Belair need to win here as revenge for Reginald’s prior distractions.
Prediction: Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair
1.) Kevin Owens & Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn & King Corbin [Tag Match]
At WWE Elimination Chamber this past Sunday, Kevin Owens eliminated Sami Zayn and Cesaro eliminated King Corbin in the show’s eponymous match. Zayn and Corbin are already acquainted — they teamed up to qualify for the SmackDown Chamber match a couple of weeks ago — and will want their revenge against Owens and Cesaro on this episode of SmackDown. However, Owens and Cesaro will win this match because Zayn usually eats the pinfall in tag matches, and he will very likely speak about the injustices that he sustained in that loss.
After that match ends, the show will likely come to a close with an interaction between Edge and Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns has been manipulating everyone on WWE SmackDown until Edge showed up. Edge always seems to be one step ahead of Reigns by getting inside his head every chance he gets. Edge will find a way to deceive Reigns and set up a title match between Reigns and Bryan in a Fastlane 2015 rematch at this year’s edition of the pay-per-view.
As a babyface, Edge knows that Bryan did not get a fair shot at the title and would want to help him get that fair one-on-one match before he battles for the Universal Championship at Mania. As has been prevalent in Roman Reigns’ rivalry with Kevin Owens in recent months, the card is always subject to change. Although Reigns will inevitably walk into Mania as champ, the idea of teasing Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Edge for the Universal Championship at Mania is a good business move. Stay tuned.
Prediction: Kevin Owens & Cesaro
