WWE: Eric Bischoff to be inducted into Hall of Fame
The 2021 edition of the WWE Hall of Fame continues to take shape. News broke on Thursday that Eric Bischoff joins Molly Holly as the latest name to enter the WWE’s scared group of wrestling personalities.
Bischoff is perhaps one of the most polarizing individuals in the professional wrestling industry. He is best known for his contributions behind the scenes, including being the executive producer behind the rise of WCW Monday Nitro, which kicked off the famed Monday Night Wars – leading to some of the biggest business and entertainment moments in wrestling history. Bischoff also played a prominent role in front of the camera, joining the NWO during the height of its power.
He also had multiple stints within the WWE. Such as joining the company in 2002 as the brand’s first on-camera general manager. Recently, he was brought back to WWE in 2019 as an executive producer of WWE SmackDown, but that did not last long as he was replaced by Bruce Pritchard months later. Since then, he has also had one-off appearances on All Elite Wrestling in segments with Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy.
The 2021 edition of the WWE Hall of Fame is scheduled for Tuesday, April 6, streaming on the Peacock Network. This year’s induction ceremony will include both the 2021 members and the 2020 members who missed out on a ceremony due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
