WWE SmackDown Predictions: Edge Will Become The Special Enforcer

2.) Sasha Banks (c) vs. Nia Jax [SmackDown Women’s Championship]

On last week’s WWE SmackDown, Natalya and Tamina defeated Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair in a tag team match after some distractions from Reginald at ringside. While Natalya and Tamina are proving their case for Women’s Tag Team Title shots at WrestleMania, Banks and Belair continue to have issues as a team before their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship opportunity against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax at WWE Fastlane 2021.

Evidently, Banks will turn heel on Belair at WWE Fastlane 2021 to cost them the Women’s Tag Team Championships and up the ante for their SmackDown Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania 37. Banks works best as a heel, and her feud with Belair will get more heated on the road to Mania thanks to that heel turn. As for this title match with Jax, Banks will retain to keep her match with Belair alive at Mania. It could end in a no contest, but Banks won’t lose the belt.

Prediction: Sasha Banks

1.) Edge vs. Jey Uso [Grudge Match]

On last week’s WWE SmackDown, Edge challenged Jey Uso to a match to determine the official special enforcer for the Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan at WWE Fastlane 2021. Evidently, Edge will win this match because it would not make any sense to kill his momentum before his Universal Title match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37. As the 2021 Royal Rumble winner, Edge must remain a credible threat to the Universal Title.

Although the outcome is predictable, it should be fun for fans to see Edge wrestle Jey Uso for the first time on SmackDown. Edge has wrestled memorable matches on SmackDown during the Ruthless Aggression Era as well as the closing moments of his career as the World Heavyweight Champion. There will definitely be a nostalgic feel to watching Edge perform in the ring for this main event of SmackDown.

Once Edge wins this match against Jey Uso, he will become the special enforcer. It will be interesting to see what Edge does as the special enforcer this Sunday. He could screw Daniel Bryan to assure that he gets his one-on-one title match against Reigns at WrestleMania, but that would make him a heel, and he needs to remain babyface against Roman Reigns. It makes more sense for him to call it right down the middle and spear Reigns after the match. Stay tuned.
