WWE SmackDown Predictions: Daniel Bryan Will Change The Main Event

2.) Bianca Belair vs. Natalya & Tamina [Handicap Match]

On last week’s WWE SmackDown, Bianca Belair defeated Shayna Baszler via disqualification after Natalya and Tamina interrupted the match. While Natalya and Tamina build their case for Women’s Tag Team Title shots at WrestleMania, they have become thorns in Banks and Belair’s sides in recent weeks. In a similar manner to how Drew McIntyre defeated Hurt Business on Raw to look strong as the number one contender for the WWE Title, Belair can do the same here.

Belair will defeat Natalya and Tamina as payback for their interference last week while regaining momentum for her title match with Banks at WrestleMania 37. It will be interesting to see if any more WrestleMania matches will be booked from the SmackDown Women’s Divison. Bayley still does not have an opponent, Carmella has done nothing in the ring since she lost to Banks, and The Riott Squad has been off television for a month. Maybe they will all be thrown in the battle royal.

1.) Daniel Bryan vs. Edge [Universal Championship Number One Contender’s Match]

On last week’s WWE SmackDown, Edge challenged Jey Uso to a match to determine the official special enforcer for the Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan at WWE Fastlane 2021. Evidently, Edge won this match because it would not make any sense to kill his momentum before his Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37. As the 2021 Royal Rumble winner, Edge must remain a credible threat to the Universal Title.

At Fastlane, despite promising the WWE fans that he would call the match right down the middle, Edge broke that promise by costing Daniel Bryan the victory against Reigns. Bryan made Roman Reigns tap out to the Yes Lock, but instead of calling for the bell, Edge whacked Bryan with a steel chair and left the ring, turning heel in the process. Daniel Bryan needs his comeuppance and defeating Edge to get added to the Universal Title match should do the trick. Stay tuned.
