On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, there is one scheduled segment and no scheduled matches. The scheduled segment involves Sami Zayn bringing Logan Paul to his Red Carpet Premiere this Friday to help promote Zayn’s “documentary”. It will be interesting to see how this factors into Zayn’s scheduled WrestleMania match with Kevin Owens. Will Logan Paul be the special enforcer, like Edge was at Fastlane?  Will he be heel or face? There’s only one way to find out.

The WWE is currently two weeks away from WrestleMania 37, and there are now five scheduled matches from SmackDown’s recent bookings: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan for the Universal Title, Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Title, Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins, Big E (c) vs. Apollo Crews for the Intercontinental Title, and Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn. Could Goldberg replace Daniel Bryan in the Universal Title Match?

Another match that could be added to the match card is Dirty Dawgs (c) vs. Mysterios vs. Alpha Academy vs. Street Profits for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. The WWE has a proclivity to book matches like this one at the last minute. It has also been rumored that a fatal four-way women’s tag match will take place on Night 1 to determine the number one contenders for Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax’s WWE Women’s Tag Titles on Night Two.

With that being said, it’s now time to preview and predict the matches and segments that will occur on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

WWE SmackDown is scheduled to take place on April 2, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on FOX. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.

5.) Dominick Mysterio (w/Rey Mysterio) vs. Robert Roode (w/Dolph Ziggler) [Grudge Match]

On last week’s WWE SmackDown, Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler. Given WWE’s predictable booking, it is expected that Dominick Mysterio will battle Robert Roode on this episode. Roode will probably pick up the win here to even the score before their inevitable title match at WrestleMania 37. Speaking of Roode, our Graham GSM Matthews actually interviewed him last week to talk about his tag team with Dolph Ziggler and reflect on his five years with the WWE. It was absolutely glorious and is worth checking out.

Prediction: Robert Roode
