Three Stars Who Must Win This Year at WrestleMania
Wrestlemania is the biggest show of the year for the WWE. Often, it is the show that leaves the world talking when it ends. It is also the show that doesn’t only have major star power on it but creates major stars. These three wrestlers must win this year to help cement themselves in the WWE.
1. Bianca Belair
Heading into this Wrestlemania season, WWE has hyped up one women’s match to probably steal the show this year at the grandest stage of them all, and that match is Bianca Belair versus Sasha Banks for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
This match has been teased for a while now. However, in January the match the world wanted to see became a reality when Bianca Belair won the Royal Rumble to earn the right to face Sasha for the championship at Wrestlemania. This match I would consider is a must-win for Belair.
Not only will this match steal the show, and should be the main event, but this match is Bianca’s for the taking. Sasha is unbelievably talented but Bianca has been being built up like the next big thing and in order to continue that, she must win at Wrestlemania. She must prove she is the EST of WWE.
2. Cesaro
Next up, is arguably one of the most underrated stars on the WWE roster today, Cesaro. Cesaro’s road to Wrestlemania has been a little different. Cesaro isn’t going to be wrestling for a championship but will be wrestling in a match I believe can steal the show.
Cesaro will be taking on the recently returning Seth Rollins. These are arguably two of the best wrestlers in WWE today. If booked right, this match could undoubtedly steal the show. This match is a must-win for Cesaro as well.
The reason this match is a must-win for Cesaro is that if he is able to win, he could be next in line for the Universal Championship. Cesaro has been long due for a title run and this match at Wrestlemania with arguably one of WWE’s best could put him on the map and make him much closer to that goal.
3. Braun Strowman
Okay, so this is one that scares me a little bit. Heading into Wrestlemania, Braun Strowman is scheduled to face Shane McMahon in a steel cage match. This match should easily swing in Strowman’s favor because he has been arguably one of the biggest powerhouses in WWE today.
The build-up for this match has been quite simple yet effective. With recently enlisted help from Elias and Jaxson Ryker, Shane McMahon has been bullying Braun calling him “stupid.” Braun took exception to this and challenged Shane to a match at Wrestlemania. Oh yeah, it’s in a steel cage, something to see Shane jump off of.
This match could prove to hurt Braun’s career much more than help if he does lose. I’m not saying Shane McMahon is a nobody, he is obviously a legendary performer and should be treated as such. However, if Braun does succumb to Shane at Wrestlemania, it may be a sign that not much more will be coming to Braun.
Obviously, this is all subject to opinion. One loss won’t completely kill a person’s career. However, these are three wrestlers who must win at Wrestlemania this year. One thing we know for sure, is their respective matches will be incredible and we are in for a treat.
