WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns committed his latest act of dominance on the rest of the SmackDown roster on the final episode of the Blue Brand in April. By defeating Daniel Bryan in a main event worthy of Match of the Year candidacy, Roman has banished the beloved technician from Friday Night SmackDown for good.

But his Guillotine-led victory over the never-say-die Bryan wasn’t his only highlight on Apr. 30. WWE fans were quick to celebrate Reigns’ new theme song, which, let’s be honest, had been a long time coming.

Since returning to WWE with a new look at SummerSlam, nothing about Reigns has been the same. He’s portraying a character that truly clicks, and we are seeing why he has the potential to become one of the all-time greats as this era’s top star.

So much about Reigns’ character changed for the better, taking him from “great” to “legendary”. And now, we can celebrate his new theme song, which fans are quipping has a “final boss” feel to it. That’s exactly what it should achieve, so WWE get another plus here when it comes to their portrayal of the Tribal Chief character.

Roman Reigns’ new entrance theme represents his character well

WWE has not uploaded a video of the official theme, so if you want to check out a video of his entrance with this new theme, click here for a link to the video on Twitter.

Not bad, huh?

It presents Reigns exactly as he is. Larger than life. And the last man you have to get through to be the true top star in WWE. The Shield theme was great, but Reigns does not need to hold onto the past. He is at the top of the mountain on his own and in a whole different zone, and this theme is audio evidence of that. It’s amazing how a theme change can be the final thing that solidifies something further, and he can use it to continue to make his entrance and “feel” his own.

After Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan’s final challenge for the Universal Championship, the attention turns to WrestleMania Backlash. Cesaro seems to be going after the title, based on his decision to come out and make the save for Bryan, as well as Bryan hyping him up a little bit before his own match with Reigns.

But we’ll see what the future holds for Reigns at the next WWE PPV.

Next. Daniel Bryan needs to move to NXT. dark

For now, we can bask in the afterglow of another instant classic between the Tribal Chief and the WrestleMania 30 hero. And we can look forward to hearing a full version of Reigns’ new theme song sometime soon. I’m sure his fans will add it to their workout playlists. Perhaps it’ll help them channel some of that “top star” energy on the squat rack.
