NXT TakeOver: In Your House featured multiple titles on the line and even two men fighting for Ted DiBiase’s million-dollar legacy. The Black and Yellow Brand contains some of the top men and women in professional wrestling and this WWE Network special looked to continue highlighting that fact.

The six-man, winner-take-all match started off the night. NXT Tag Team champions MSK lined up with NXT North American champion, Bronson Reed to take on the three members of Legado del Fantasma.

Wes Lee and Raul Mendoza started things off, moving at an insane pace. Nash Carter and Joaquin Wilde tagged in soon after and both men kept that same pace going. It looked like Reed and Santos Escobar would lock up, but Mendoza was brought back into the ring just to suffer at the power of the big man. Santos would catch Reed with a sneaky tag to enter the ring, but it was not long until he found himself smashed to the mat.

Carter, Reed, and Lee were in firm control until Carter found himself on the wrong side of the ring. That led to all six-men doing their variations of dives to the outside. In the ensuing scramble, Escobar isolated Lee inside the ring to take over. Carter would take a lot of offense from all three of the opponents. Lee was finally able to get over to Reed to make the tag, and he began to lay out all three men.

A sneak attack allowed Escobar to get the upper hand on Reed, landing a nasty Michinoku Driver but was unable to get the win. Carter was almost pinned right after this, but a diving Lee made the save. Outside the ring, Escobar was flattened against the barricade once again. That left Mendoza in the ring to take an assisted Blockbuster into the Tsunami. Reed made the pinfall to get the victory for their team.

Bronson Reed and MSK defeated Legado del Fantasma via pinfall.

Xia Li versus Mercedes Martinez was up next for their singles match.

The two women immediately started brawling outside the ring. When they got back in, Martinez hit a big backdrop on Li. The match brutality continued to escalate, with Li even wrapping Martinez’s body around the ring post. Martinez was downed in the corner and ate a dropkick to the face for her trouble. Li went to kick Martinez’s head into the post, but Martinez ducked, and Li damaged her own leg.

Martinez and Li started tossing each other around the ring with a variety of suplexes. Martinez even hit the Cliffhanger, but Li was able to kick out. Martinez landed several knees to Li’s face and Boa pulled her from the ring before she could be pinned. Back in the ring, Martinez went for an Air Raid Crash, but Li fought out of it. She caught a rebounding Li with a kick to the face that laid the veteran out cold. Li picked up the victory via pinfall.

Xia Li defeated Mercedes Martinez via pinfall.

The Million Dollar Championship was on the line next, as Cameron Grimes and LA Knight battled in a Ladder Match.

Grimes and Knight started out roughing each other up but Knight’s shoulder block knocked Grimes from his feet. It did not take long before the ladders were in play, with both men adding to their offense as they leveraged the steel. Outside the ring, Knight started bouncing Grimes’s head off everything around the ring.

With a ladder inside the ring, Grimes started to swing it at Knight to take over. Knight was able to do the same, including hitting a big neck breaker onto the ladder. Knight brought another ladder into the ring to continue the punishment. Knight was then sent headfirst into the ladder, and Grimes followed up with rapid-fire kicks to the chest.

Grimes went outside the ring to bring in the gold ladder that was on the ring set. Grimes climbed up the ladder, but Knight soon followed, keeping him from reaching the belt. Knight jumped off first, but pushed the ladder over, causing Grimes to get hung up on the top rope. They continued to fight outside the ring until Knight used security to land a cheap shot on Grimes. Grimes then climbed up the scaffolding to jump onto Knight.

Grimes nearly reached the top, but Knight dumped him outside the ring, crashing through two ladders. That gave Knight the time needed to reach up and grab the Million Dollar Championship to pick up the win.

LA Knight defeated Cameron Grimes to earn the Million Dollar Championship.

Ember Moon challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship next, going up against Raquel Gonzalez.

Moon jumped on Gonzalez early, trying to knock her from her feet. It looked like a sound strategy until Gonzalez got her hands on her. The power game was working well for Gonzalez who beat on Moon both inside and out of the ring. Moon continued to try to find her offense, but she did not have an answer for Gonzalez’s strength. She even landed a reverse Vader Bomb, but Moon kicked out at two.

Moon started to get in some offense, landing a series of kicks before blasting Gonzalez with a forearm to knock her down. Moon locked in a unique submission, but Gonzalez was able to reach the bottom rope with Dakota Kai’s help. Moon continued to roll until Kai caused another distraction, allowing Gonzalez to land a Superplex out of the corner.

Gonzalez went for a vertical suplex, but Moon countered into a modified Eclipse. She followed it up with another top rope move before going back to the Eclipse. She landed it on Gonzalez, but Kai placed her foot on the rope. Shotzi Blackheart then ran out to run off Kai, leaving the two women in the ring alone.

Moon hit a Tornado DDT outside of the ring, but Gonzalez kicked out of the pin at two. Moon went for the Eclipse a second time, but Gonzalez caught her, countering with a Snake Eyes and went into the One-Handed Powerbomb for the victory.

Raquel Gonzalez retained the NXT Women’s Championship via pinfall over Ember Moon.

The main event of the evening was a Fatal Five Way match. Karrion Kross defended the NXT Championship against Johnny Gargano, Kyle O’Reilly, Pete Dunne, and Adam Cole.

The action broke down quickly, with Dunne and Kross being left alone in the ring. Kross hit an excellent suplex, sending Dunne scrambling from the ring. O’Reilly ran in and tried to start a striking exchange with the champion and that did not play out to his benefit. Kross was able to fight out of the kneebar and hit a German Suplex on O’Reilly. Gargano then tried his hand against Kross, chopping him down with a block to the knee. He also ate a suplex before rolling out of the ring.

All four men tried to attack Kross, and they were still unable to topple the big man. O’Reilly was the first to take Kross off his feet and was rolling until Dunne attacked him from behind. Kross then power bombed Dunne onto all three men. Kross was jumped outside the ring, being sent through the door, leaving the other four men inside the ring to battle it out. And battle is exactly what they did, with all of them being laid out.

Kross rejoined the action, destroying all four men outside the ring. Gargano was flattened inside the ring as well and was able to kickout of the pinfall attempt. Gargano went on a run, but Cole stopped him in the ring, locking in the Gargano Escape. He even tried to pin Cole but was unable to get the win. He decimated all the challengers once again, dropping O’Reilly with a clothesline.

O’Reilly and Cole found themselves working together to put Kross into the announce table outside the ring. With Kross on the outside, each man had their moment. Cole landed a stiff neck breaker on O’Reilly, but the match continued. Gargano landed the One Final Beat, following it up with the double Gargano Escape until O’Reilly dropped him with a knee. Cole hit the Panama Sunrise on Gargano, but Dunne broke up the pinfall.

Dunne and Kross ended up in the ring alone, with Dunne hitting the Bitter End. Kross kicked out, but he kept going, transitioning into a triangle choke, smashing him with elbows at the same time. Kross jumped back to his feet and locked on the Cross Jacket on Dunne, but before he would go out, he twisted Kross’s fingers to escape.

Gargano came out of no where to hit the One Final Beat. Kross hits him with the Cross Jacket and Gargano attempted to scramble to escape. Cole hits the last shot and O’Reilly hits the knee drop from the top. Cole breaks up the pin with a superkick, and kicks everyone else. Kross locked in the Cross Jacket, pulling O’Reilly off Cole, and choking him out to keep the title.

Karrion Kross retains the NXT Championship in the Fatal Five Way main event.
