Another edition of WWE Raw was in front of us as this evening’s show announced the return of Eva Marie in a match against Naomi. Drew McIntyre was also scheduled in a one-on-one match against one-half of the WWE tag team champions, AJ Styles.

The night started off with Nikki Cross in singles action against Charlotte Flair.

Flair came out of the gate hot, dominating the smaller woman. Less than one minute into the match Rhea Ripley came out and a brief distraction almost cost Flair the match. After pummeling Cross outside the ring, Flair continued to dominate on the inside as well. Cross looked to reverse things with a cradle pin attempt, but Flair kicked out and immediately dropped her with a clothesline.

Cross was placed on the top rope, but cross fought out of the corner, landing a tornado DDT. She would dive off the apron, only to be caught by Flair and tossed with a Fallaway Slam. Flair continued to gloat on the outside of the ring and Cross rolled back inside. The referee reached the ten counts, ending with Flair being disqualified.

Jeff Hardy and Joh Morrison were set for singles action as the next match out.

Morrison sprayed Hardy in the face with his “drip” and started beating on the former champion. Morrison was rolling, but Cedric Alexander came out to ring side. Hardy was able to take some of the momentum back, countering Morrison’s movements. Morrison used a counter of his own to set up the Starship Pain, picking up the victory via pinfall.

Alexander’s words after the match led to Hardy challenging him to a potential retirement match right at that very moment.

The bell rang and Hardy went right after Alexander. Hardy made the mistake of trying to chase after Alexander through the ropes and was caught with a dragon whip on his leg. Alexander focused on his knees until Hardy took over once again, flattening Alexander with a kick in the corner. Alexander went for a Swanton and missed, but then he also missed the Neurolizer. Alexander stood up and walked right into the Twist of Fate, leading to the Swanton Bomb for the victory.

Naomi was out next against the returning Eva Marie.

There was some bait and switch as Naomi ended up taking on the athlete formerly known as Piper Niven. It was an absolute squash match with Niven hitting a Michinoku Driver on Naomi to get the victory.

Randy Orton and Matt Riddle were out to compete against The New Day in tag team action.

Riddle and Xavier Woods started things off, with Woods driving Riddle into the corner to isolate him on their side of the ring. They continued to employ teamwork on Riddle, frequently tagging in and out while attacking his arm. Riddle was able to use the single leg pickup to drag Woods over to the corner to make the tag to Randy Orton.

The New Day were able to lure Orton into their corner, ending with Kofi Kingston hitting a standing Frog Splash on Orton to make a pin attempt. Things continued to get physical between both teams, with Riddle and Woods picking up the pace. Woods found himself the focal point as Orton and Riddle took their time attacking him. Woods was able to get over to Kingston and he came in to take out both men.

Kingston nearly landed the Trouble in Paradise, but Orton was able to get to Riddle. Riddle then went off with kicks on Kingston, laying him out with a slingshot knee. Riddle even landed the Floating Bro and went for the pin, but Kingston was able to kick out to avoid defeat.

Both teams struggled to find the finish, exchanging pin attempts to no avail. Riddle nearly hit a spring German Suplex on Woods, but the New Day countered it until a modified Doomsday Device, but Riddle kicked out. Woods nearly rolled up Orton to counter the RKO but could not counter it the second time. Orton would pin Woods to get the victory.

Asuka and Rhea Ripley were out for another one-on-one match.

Asuka started out the match toying with the champion who was caught on the back foot. Asuka made the attempt to match power with Ripley and ended up eating a headbutt for her troubles. Ripley was able to slow the match down, laying Asuka out with multiple clotheslines. Ripley would eventually toss Asuka outside the ring, slamming her against the barricade.

Back in the ring, Asuka was able to turn the things in her direction until once again running into Ripley’s power. She landed a missile dropkick on Ripley, knocking her across the ring. After a big knee, Asuka continued to roll but was unable to get the victory. Asuka continued to drop the champion and chase after pins, but Ripley continued to kick out. Asuka tried a victory roll, but Ripley countered. Asuka turned that into an attempt at the Asuka Lock, but Ripley was one step ahead, countering more striking with the Riptide to pick up the victory.

Rhea Ripley defeated Asuka via pinfall.

Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax were booked for a one-on-one match next.

Bliss immediately jumped on Jax’s ack and that did not quite work out well. Jax fought her off again, but Bliss remained one step ahead of her. Bliss used a series of kicks and elbows to attack Jax, but she soon found herself on the wrong side of a blitz from the bigger woman. Bliss continued to try to work up steam, but she was dropped a second time. Jax went for the leg drop but she missed. Bliss scared off Reginald and then planted Jax with a DDT. Bliss went to the top rope and went for the Twisted Bliss. Reginald ran inside and caused the disqualification, giving Bliss the victory.

Jaxson Ryker and Elias were set for singles action.

Ryker’s intensity came through in the match as he battered Elias for much of the match. Ryker continued to dominate, leading Elias to take the count-out defeat.

The main event of the evening brought out Drew McIntyre to compete against AJ Styles.

The two men locked up in the middle of the ring with Styles getting the early advantage. But it was not long until Styles was taking a massive back body drop and getting laid out with a right hand. McIntyre hit the Future Shock DDT early, leaving Styles laid out in the center of the ring. McIntyre would stomp away on Styles and try to fight out of the corner, only to get tossed into the other side of the ring.

Styles continued to struggle facing off against the bigger man, getting beat to the punch each time. Styles would finally get some sustained offense in, dropping McIntyre over the top then pushing him into the ring post. For a moment, McIntyre built up some steam, only to run flat into Style’s counter kick.

Both men climbed back to their feet, but it was McIntyre that started rolling. McIntyre attempted a Superplex, but Styles countered, leading to a neck breaker. Things would break down as all six men entered the ring and started brawling. This resulted in a six-man tag match.

The match was basically bedlam as all six men took turns beating on each other. Erik was isolated on the wrong side of the ring and Lashley continued to dominate him. Ivar entered the ring and put on some great offense against Lashley before being planted with a one-handed spinebuster. Ivar was in bad straights as the violence continued. That was until Ivar pancaked Styles as he charged into the corner.

Omos and McIntyre tagged in, and McIntyre was barely able to fight off the bigger man. Styles came back in and took multiple belly-to-belly suplexes around the ring. Styles made a tag to Lashley who was not ready, causing him to turn right into a Claymore. McIntyre then pinned Lashley to get the victory.
