WWE set Hell In A Cell as a night of fueled of action, but the event was highlighted by the 2 matches inside the cell, as Bianca Belair defends her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Bayley, while Drew McIntyre challenges Bobby Lashley to become a 3-time WWE Champion after losing it back at Elimination Chamber. Here are the results & analysis of Hell In A Cell 2021.

Kick-Off Show

Mandy Rose faced WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Natalya in the sole match of Hell In A Cell’s Kick-off show, which was announced via WWE’s Social Media accounts hours before the show. The match started with Mandy Rose using her athleticism to evade the ground and pound of the Women’s Tag Team Champion. She later took over the match, but Natalya cut her out after reverting Rose’s Modified Guillotine into a Bodyslam.

Natalya managed a fiery comeback with her technical ability, including putting andy in an Arm-Bar. While Rose fought back, it was enough to prevent the Tag Team Champion from continuing to neutralize her offense. Natalya ended up making Mandy Rose tap-out to the Sharpshooter to take the win.

Main Card

The opening match was the SmackDown Women’s Championship Match, as Champion, Bianca Belair, faced Bayley inside Hell In A Cell.

After Bayley got hit with a bodyslam by Belair, she got out and brought a chair to the ring, which was shielded by Bianca with her hair. For a while, Bianca took over the match for a while but it was reversed by Bayley and working on the Champion’s hair, including a gnarly spot where she tied Bianca’s hair to the bottom rope. Bianca would power out of it and would lead to her throwing the stairs onto Bayley, who escaped from that by the skin of her teeth.

Bianca went berzerk at the end, hitting a Senton on Bayley while she was laying on the ladder. She followed this by sending Bayley into the turnbuckle, which allowed her to set up a ladder she would later use to finish the challenger. Belair hit Bayley with the KOD on the Ladder, leaving the path to victory clear as the champion pinned the 3-time SmackDown Women’s Champion to take home the win. After the match, Bianca says in a backstage interview that she will never forgive Bayley for what she did to her.

The second match of the card was a Wrestlemania Rematch between Cesaro and Seth Rollins

Cesaro dominated the start of the match and was able to prove this by stopping the offense of Rollins with multiple strikes. After that, Cesaro took the off the hand of Rollins and shoved it on his mouth before hitting him with a Lariat, which was followed by him kicking the glove out of the ring and hitting Rollins with multiple running uppercuts and a power slam, which came from a reversal from a Curb Stomp attempt from Rollins. Interestingly, Rollins was a lot more focused on the submission game, including putting Cesaro in a Fujiwara arm-bar after continuing to neutralize the arm he had been focusing on since last month’s Wrestlemania Backlash, which led to The Architect having a great near fall after connecting The Falcon Arrow.

Cesaro put Rollins in the Swing and put him in the Sharpshooter. Unlike Natalya, he was not able to tap him out as he was countered into a small package from The Architect for the 3-count. This is Cesaro’s 2nd PPV defeat in a row, with his first coming at Wrestlemania Backlash against Roman Reigns.

Next up was Alexa Bliss vs Shayna Baszler in Singles Competition.

To the surprise of many, the match did not have any extra theatrics that is custom for matches involving Alexa and The Fiend but rather was a methodical match. Baszler and Bliss had very good chemistry, as The Queen of Spades worked the arm of Bliss and attempted to wear her down. Bliss later hypnotized Nia Jax into attacking Reginald and both proceeded to yell at each other. Bliss hit Baszler with Sister Abigail and Twisted Bliss for the win.

Up next, we got another Wrestlemania rematch in Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn.

Much like their Wrestlemania match, they were at a rapid pace and with stiff moves from start to finish; however, it got benefited from a longer runtime, and they had more stuff to do.

After the match, they showed a recap of the Universal Championship Match between Roman Reigns and Rey Mysterio. This match was originally scheduled for the Pay-Per-View but was moved to the most recent edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Next up was the Match for the Raw Women’s Championship between Charlotte Flair and the Champion, Rhea Ripley, which started off hot after Flair attacked Ripley before the bell rang.

The match got back with a balanced and frantic pace after the Champion hit the challenger with a great Spinning Back Elbow. The chemistry between Flair and Ripley is noticeably great, as they managed to get multiple great multiple near falls, including a great 2-count from Ripley after being hit with a Natural Selection. They also had multiple callbacks to their excellent bout from Wrestlemania 36, including Rhea successfully crawling to the ropes. After that spot, Rhea hit Charlotte with the top of the announcer’s table and got disqualified. They continued brawling after the match but it was cut after Ripley hit Charlotte with a second Riptide.

Finally, we got to the Main Event as WWE Champion, Bobby Lashley, defended his title against Drew McIntyre inside Hell In A Cell.

The match started with both Lashley and McIntyre brawling outside the ring, which included the Scottish Psychopath hitting the Champion with the Stairs. They continued to beat the seven bells out of each other, which included an Alabama Slam onto a chair to Lashley, This match had brutality all over, with even the referee taking a bump and MVP getting hit with the Claymore after entering. They also took 2 gnarly table spots, including one where Drew escaped The Hurt Lock by running him and Lashley through a table on the outside.

In the ladder part of the match, Drew attempted to hit a Claymore but was intercepted by MVP, which led to Bobby Lashley putting the challenger in a roll-up pinfall and completing the 3-count. Just lie that, Drew McIntyre can no longer challenge Bobby Lashey for the WWE Championship.
