WWE Hell in a Cell occurred on Sunday and now the focus turns toward the next PPV event, WWE Money in the Bank. Multiple qualification matches were announced for the night, along with a potential question to who the next man is to face off against WWE champion, Bobby Lashley.

The night started off with Lashley in the ring to celebrate yet another victory. Before the celebration could start, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods interrupted the moment. After some back and forth, not only did Kingston have a title match for the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV, but Woods found himself in a match against Lashley on Monday in the still assembled Hell in a Cell.

The first qualification match was AJ Styles against Ricochet. Styles pushes the offense early, but Ricochet was able to stay one step in front of him. That was until Styles sent him right into the ring post outside the ring. Ricochet was able to get in some offense of his own, landing a high cross body off the ropes to cap things off. After rolling through a Northern Lights Suplex, he hit a Brainbuster, but Styles kicked out at two.

Styles went for the Styles Clash, but Ricochet was able to counter, eventually dodging the Pele kick into a German Suplex that Styles was barely able to kick out. Styles answered with the Calf Crusher and a Neck Breaker before looking to hit the Phenomenal Forearm. The Viking Raiders ran down to the ring and Omos attempted to attack them, but he was taken out. Styles went for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Ricochet countered with the Recoil to pick up the victory.

Eva Marie and Doudrop were scheduled for a tag team match with Naomi and Asuka. Two spots for the Women’s Money in the Bank were on the line.

It looked like Asuka, and Eva were going to start out, but Eva tagged out to Doudrop immediately. She was left in basically a handicap match against Asuka and Naomi. Asuka tried to match power with Doudrop but was quickly flattened on her back.

Naomi tagged in and found herself on the wrong end of Doudrop’s offense. She went for the pinfall, but Asuka made the save to keep the match going. Doudrop went up to the top rope, but Eva tagged in and tried to steal the victory, only for Naomi to kick out. Eva wanted to tag but Doudrop walked away from her, ending with Naomi picking up the victory by rolling up Eva.

Randy Orton had his own Money in the Bank qualification match up against John Morrison.

Orton and Morrison locked up with neither man able to gain an early advantage. Morrison went for the first pin attempt after a big kick to Orton’s face, but did not get the victory. It was not long before Orton was back in control, especially when they ended up outside the ring where Orton planted Morrison onto the announce table.

Back in the ring, Orton had Morrison isolated in the corner as he laid into him with uppercuts. He would then slowly stomp all over Morrison’s body. Morrison took the momentum back from Orton, locking him into an attempted arm bar. Orton broke the move with an attempted pin, but Morrison continued to focus on the arm.

Morrison charged at Orton out of the corner, eating a Powerslam for his efforts. That was followed up with the Draping DDT. Orton looked like he was about to hit the RKO before The Miz sprayed him with the Drop Stick. Morrison tried to roll up Orton but was unable to do so. The distraction outside the ring with The Miz and Matt Riddle allowed Morrison to hit Starship Pain, picking up the win to qualify.

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were teaming once again, this time against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax with the winners being added to the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Cross and Baszler started off the match for their teams. Cross had her moments, but Baszler was able to do enough to take control and tag in Jax. Jax missed a shoulder charge and crashed outside the ring, setting up a Flying Cross Body from the top by Cross.

Baszler was isolated in the ring and Cross was rolling, eventually tagging in Bliss. Jax was able to turn the tables on Bliss, keeping her on the wrong side of the ring. Baszler looked like she was able to dominate until Bliss fought out of a bad position, ending with a Code Red from the corner. Both ladies made a tag and Cross was rolling until taking a boot to the chest from Jax. However, when the next tag was made, Jax ended up leaving the ring and Baszler alone inside. In the ensuring chaos, Cross rolled up Baszler and made the pinfall.

Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle were up next as they fought for a spot in the Money in the Bank match.

McIntyre was in pain but that did not stop him from toying with Riddle for much of the early portions of the match. Riddle fought back with striking of his own, but McIntyre remained in control. They ended up outside the ring and Riddle used the opening to throw McIntyre back-first into the post. That gave him the opening he needed in the match.

Back inside the ring McIntyre was able to fight back, but Riddle had the momentum in his favor, landing a big Exploder Suplex before kicking McIntyre in the back. McIntyre countered the Broton, getting his offense back in after multiple Belly-to-Belly Suplexes of his own. Riddle continued to kick out, even after taking an Alabama Slam in the middle of the ring. McIntyre even hit a release German Suplex while sitting on the second turnbuckle.

With Randy Orton’s appearance, Riddle found some motivation and was rolling against the former champion. However, McIntyre hit a big Michinoku Driver, but Riddle kicked out of the pinfall. McIntyre came off the top and Riddle attempted to counter with a Flying Triangle. McIntyre nearly powered his way out of hit but hit the Future Shock DDT for another two counts. Riddle continued to counter McIntyre’s offense, eventually hitting a Ripcord Knee followed up with a kick to the head. Riddle would go for the Floating Bro. McIntyre went for the Claymore, but Riddle countered with the Bro Mission. McIntyre picked Riddle up on his shoulders and Riddle rolled through to pin McIntyre’s shoulders to the mat.

Xavier Woods and Bobby Lashley were the main event of the evening, battling in the Hell in a Cell.

Woods went right after Lashley, attempting to be the aggressor. At first, he had some success, but moments later he was on his back after a Neck Breaker. Lashley did not lay off Woods, slamming him to the mat with multiple Flatliners. Woods attempted to use a chair on Lashley, but Lashley nearly put his fist through the steel.

Woods found an opening when Lashley charged at him in the corner but missed. Woods landed multiple Cannonball Dropkicks, then followed up with chair shots to Lashley’s back. Woods kept fighting but Lashley was not phased by anything coming his way. Woods even broke out the kendo stick to even things up, laying into Lashley’s back. Woods attempted a modified Face Buster, only for a two count. He followed up with a Tornado DDT but still could not get the pinfall. Woods even put Lashley through a table with an Elbow Drop but Lashley kicked out again.
