Bianca Belair beat Bayley in a Hell in a Cell match at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view on Sunday to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Belair would deliver a K.O.D to the challenger onto a ladder to put her away for the win after a hard-fought wrestling match. The Hell in a Cell match between Bayley and Belair was a good way to end this feud that has lasted since late 2020 when they were in a feud leading up to the Royal Rumble.

The Belair and Bayley feud has been one of the most entertaining feuds in WWE because of the two wrestlers’ storytelling. Now that this feud is over, though, it is time for a new challenger to step up and challenge “The EST”. In this article, I will discuss who should be Belair’s next challenger. Here are some ideas for potential opponents.

5. Natalya

Now that live shows are returning, Belair should feud with someone who can help push her to be the true star we all know she can be. That person is Natalya. She would be a good challenger for Belair because it would be a fresh feud that fans could really get into. Natalya also has the experience to tell a good story with Belair in the ring.

4. Bayley

This is a feud that we have seen already, but it is still a good story and match that I’m sure fans wouldn’t mind seeing again. Bayley has done a fantastic job being a top heel in the WWE’s women’s division. Belair’s win over Bayley at Hell in a Cell was Belair’s best match since winning the women’s championship.

3. Naomi

Naomi is one of the most loved superstars on the WWE roster, but she needs a serious feud so that her character can be taken to the next level. This feud would be hard to book because both wrestlers are so loved by fans.

If I was the WWE, I would put Namoi and Belair together as a tag team then have Naomi turn on Belair and beat her down. Naomi could play the veteran heel that still feels like she hasn’t been given her chance to be the top wrestler in the women’s division. After the last WWE releases, the SmackDown women’s division was left without many women’s wrestlers. The WWE should add Naomi to SmackDown because it would add star power to the show.

2. Sasha Banks

This is a matchup that I believe we will see again this summer because Sasha Banks never got her rematch after Belair defeated her at WrestleMania. Banks is among the top 10 WWE women’s wrestlers of time and has done everything there is to do in the WWE. The WWE should be using Banks to help push the next generation of women’s wrestlers so that WWE women’s movement can continue. As WWE is set to resume live touring starting in July, I expect to see “The Boss” return and get her Wrestlemania rematch against Belair at SummerSlam.

1. Becky Lynch

This is a match that I believe should be saved for WrestleMania. Becky Lynch was having a Hall of Fame-level run as Raw Women’s Champion before taking some time off to start her family. Lynch never lost her title, so that should make her want to go after either the Raw and SmackDown’s women’s champion and put both on notice when she returns.

Two years ago, Lynch was the most popular wrestler on the planet, and she has the chance to do that again. She has already proven that she can be “The Man” and have excellent matches with Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, and Natalya, but now there is a new group of women wrestlers such as Belair that has proven that she is the future of the women’s division.
