WWE SummerSlam 2021! Will this really be the biggest event of the summer? The WWE will do everything in its power to assure that the match card is stacked, the star power is immense, and almost every moment is memorable. However, will there be long term storytelling with an end goal or payoff to reward the fans who stuck with WWE’s egregious programming throughout the pandemic months? Far from it. Nonetheless, the following will provide full match card and result predictions for any matches that could be added to the match card.

With that being said, it’s now time to preview and predict the matches and storylines that will occur at WWE SummerSlam 2021.

WWE SummerSlam 2021 is scheduled to take place on August 21, 2021, live on the WWE Network via Peacock. Here are some foolproof predictions.

United States Title #1C Over-The-Top Rope Battle Royal [Winner Battles U.S. Champion Sheamus On The Main Show]

There will be many Raw superstars left off the SummerSlam card this year since they are directionless and inconsistently promoted. Henceforth, it would be best for the WWE to toss those superstars in a kickoff battle royal to determine the next number one contender for Sheamus’ U.S. Title. The superstars to include would be: Damian Priest, Jinder Mahal, Jeff Hardy, Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin, John Morrison, Ricochet, Humberto Carillo, Angel Garza, Drew Gulak, Mansoor, Mustafa Ali, Jaxson Ryker, Elias, Akira Tozawa, R-Truth, Erik, Ivar, TBAR, and MACE.

The winner of the battle royal should be Damian Priest. He is a rising star on the main roster who gained some momentum after a victory over former two-time WWE Champion, The Miz, a few months ago. Afterward, he was off television for a long period of time due to injury. He needs to regain his momentum with a big victory at a SummerSlam and a title opportunity that would determine his fate in the mid card. Whether he dethrones Sheamus or gets the honorable rub, he needs to tell his story in the ring and showcase his potential to be the next breakout star on Raw.

Foolproof Prediction: Damian Priest

Natalya and Tamina (c) vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke vs. Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax vs. Bliss Cross Applesauce vs. Asuka & Naomi vs. Eva Marie & Piper Niven [Women’s Tag Team Titles: Tag Turmoil]

Another kickoff match to include on the SummerSlam card would be the Women’s Tag Team Championship match. While it may seem that the only two tag teams in the division are Natalya and Tamina and Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke, it seems that WWE has been forming more tag teams in its build to the Women’s MITB Ladder Match. While it can be argued that Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax as well as Eva Marie and Piper Niven are dysfunctional tag teams, it seems that Asuka and Naomi have coexisted and Bliss and Cross have reunited after qualifying for MITB together.

As for the winner of this match, Eva Marie and Piper Niven should win the tag titles not only for the heel heat but also to bring more attention to the Women’s Tag Team Division. Many fans will despise this result, but controversy creates cash in the WWE. Whether the result is beneficial or detrimental to the future of the tag division, all that matters is the buzz it creates. Although Eva Marie has not wrestled since returning, this could be a neat way to get Piper Niven over as a future star in this business and elicit a unique dynamic in tag wrestling that has never been seen before.

Foolproof Prediction: Eva Marie & Piper Niven
