WWE Raw Predictions: Goldberg Will Replace Kofi Kingston
By Mark Justice
WWE Raw is limping into WWE Money In The Bank 2021, just like Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair did on last week’s horrendous episode. On this week’s taped episode, there are six scheduled matches: Bobby Lashley vs. Xavier Woods, Alexa Bliss vs. Nikki Cross vs. Asuka vs. Naomi in a Women’s MITB Promotional Fatal 4 Way Match, Sheamus (c) vs. Humberto Carillo for the U.S. Title, AJ Styles vs. Ivar, Omos vs. Erik, and Ricochet vs. John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Also, will Goldberg replace Kofi Kingston in pursuit of Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship?
Also, Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal are scheduled to have a face-off in what seems to be a gradual build-up to their feud for WWE SummerSlam 2021. Nonetheless, WWE is still one week away from WWE MITB 2021. There are four Raw-affiliated matches scheduled for this PPV event: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Kofi Kingston for the WWE Title, Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte for the Raw Women’s Title, Men’s MITB Ladder Match, and Women’s MITB Ladder Match. Natalya & Tamina (c) vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke for the Women’s Tag Titles could also be added to the card.
With that being addressed, it’s now time to preview and predict what will actually occur on this week’s go-home episode of WWE Raw.
WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on July 12, 2021, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on the USA Network. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.
5.) Ricochet vs. John Morrison [Falls Count Anywhere Match]
On WWE Raw, Ricochet is scheduled to battle John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. After qualifying for the MITB Ladder Match, they battled twice. One match ended in a double countout after a jaw-dropping Flying Crossbody from Ricochet outside the ring. The other match ended in a Morrison countout victory after a botchy Spanish Fly from Morrison outside the ring and a nefarious wheelchair distraction from The Miz. Since Morrison won last week, 50/50 booking will be implemented here with Ricochet getting the last laugh heading into MITB.
Prediction: Ricochet
4.) Omos vs. Erik & AJ Styles vs. Ivar [Coordinated Grudge Matches]
On WWE Raw, Omos is scheduled to battle Erik and AJ Styles is scheduled to battle Ivar in respective grudge matches one week before their tag team title match, which has already been scheduled for the following week’s Raw. Since this is Omos’ singles match debut, he should win to look strong as the monstrous tag partner. Unfortunately, 50/50 booking will be implemented here as well because the Viking Raiders cannot look completely weak heading into their title match. As a result, former world champion AJ Styles will have to take the loss to Ivar.
Prediction: Omos & Ivar
