Shayna Baszler vs. Nia Jax [Grudge Match]

It seems that Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are finally breaking up their makeshift tag team. It would be sensible for them to squash their beef at SummerSlam. This is probably the only chance WWE has to give Baszler a victory that could wash away all of the losses she sustained because of her tag team with Jax.

She can basically blame her weekly losses on Jax, rather than on herself. The idea of breaking away from Jax could help her get back on the right foot as a singles competitor. If she loses, she would officially be the letter “L” in the alphabet and thereby officially buried.

As for the winner of this match, Shayna Baszler will get the W because she needs that momentum for a future title opportunity. She has been well overdue for a singles title opportunity on the main roster.

She went from being the most dominant force in NXT to becoming the jobber of the Raw Women’s Division. She has not rebounded from her drought ever since losing the 2020 women’s Royal Rumble Match to Charlotte Flair, losing her Raw Women’s Championship match to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36, and losing the 2020 MITB Ladder Match to Asuka.

Mr. MITB Big E vs. Baron Corbin [Men’s MITB Briefcase]

Since Baron Corbin wants money so much, he should pursue the Money in the Bank Briefcase that Big E currently possesses. This would be an effective filler feud on the SummerSlam card to advance Corbin’s current gimmick while continuing Mr. MITB Big E’s momentum for his main event push.

Big E is currently being relegated to the midcard when he should be building up his momentum as the MITB Briefcase holder in order to show his potential as a future world champion once he cashes in at the most opportune moment.

As for the winner of the match, Big E will win and retain the MITB Briefcase. No one should be taking that MITB Briefcase from Big E, and Corbin needs to continue losing until he finally breaks his current character and turn into a crazed ‘Happy Corbin’ that was trademarked months ago.

After Big E defeats Corbin, he should move on to battling a main eventer on SmackDown, such as Seth Rollins, who is not only a former Universal Champion but also seems to be the gatekeeper of the Universal Championship. A feud with Rollins would help elevate E to that next level.
