WWE Wrestling Rumor Roundup: Becky Lynch return plans, Triple H may lose power
By Amit Shukla
The wrestling landscape has changed, and a wrestler has the opportunity to show up on another brand at any time. WWE isn’t the biggest and only player in the business because, with so many releases and so many relevant superstars out of work, the big question is, ‘Who’s Next?’
Pardon the pun there, but it’s true because anyone can be on the list of cuts in the WWE. Nick Khan is helping Vince earn what he always cherished the most, ‘Money.’ His deals have got the nod from the Chairman, and it looks like there’s no stopping him now. If so, what happens to HHH, and does it hamper the brand he built? Let’s answer impending questions in this piece, and without further ado, let’s dive into it:
Becky Lynch is ready for a return
‘The Man’ has teased the fan base at WrestleMania and Money In The Bank, but she didn’t show up on television. There were reports that she would return soon, but it looks like she may be ready to step up between the ropes at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
According to PWInsider, Becky is backstage, but she doesn’t appear on tv or during the dark matches. WWE knows that they have a star by them, and they don’t want to waste her return’s golden opportunity on a weekly show when her return can make headlines and money for the WWE.
The wait may be over as she is about to return to the squared circle, but does this mean that Nikki A.S.H. will lose the Raw Women’s Championship to Charlotte Flair. If it happens, we can revisit SummerSlam 2018, except that this will involve a staredown and set the stage for Monday Night Raw.
Triple H may lose his power
Triple H is a performer and a corporate individual all at once, but the tide may be turning. Hunter outperformed himself and created the Black and Gold brand that launched careers of multiple superstars. These superstars became box office attractions for the company and its brand.
Multiple releases without HHH’s input is a clear indication of his diminishing power in the WWE. The power shift will create friction within the WWE, and according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Triple H may see fewer rights in the WWE. We saw his designation changed, his role and responsibility demoted, but is this a sign of things to come shortly?
Karrion Kross’ loss in his debut match was no excuse. The NXT Champion received a lackluster push in his first match, and the reaction backstage at the Black and Gold brand was not enthusiastic. Is Triple H’s demotion a reason behind such a response?
Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that backstage heat about NXT superstars led to Karrion Kross’ debut match loss. Karrion Kross is dominant but is this move a way to bring him down. If so, then it looks like a failed attempt because it would hamper the brand and the business in general.
