Ever since she made her debut on the WWE main roster in July, Toni Storm has virtually done nothing. Storm defeated Zelina Vega in a two minute match on the July 23rd episode and then went missing from TV for two whole months.

It’s embarrassing because stuff like this regularly happens in multiple wrestling companies, and it’s happening to both the men’s division and women’s division. Start and stop pushes are something that is deeply plaguing wrestling in this day and age and it’s currently something that is affecting Toni Storm.

With the Queen’s Crown tournament set to begin tonight on Smackdown, I’m on the “Toni-Train” and am fully backing her to win the whole tournament. Although she hasn’t officially been announced as a participant yet, there’s no reason why she shouldn’t be in the field of players considering she’s an excellent wrestler and a good promo.

A King Of The Ring win has saved many floundering careers before, but it’s also been used to launch new, young and exciting talent into stardom of wrestling – something that Toni Storm should be on the receiving end of.

Storm is only 25 years of age, so her empty two-month run can still be easily salvaged with just a few wins and developing a direction as a character. A way that this could start would be if Storm was placed in the Queen’s Crown tournament.

Looking at the potential field, I don’t see many other women that could benefit from this win as much as Toni Storm. Women like Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks are already made stars, while other women like Natalya, Tamina, and Eva Marie wouldn’t benefit from the win at all and would most likely see fan pushback.

Liv Morgan or Naomi have fair arguments as potential winners, but we’ve seen the company try and get behind those performers before and it unfortunately never seems to last.

It all circles back to Toni Storm. Storm hasn’t been necessarily misused by WWE, but rather hasn’t got a chance to fully spread her wings and show what she’s fully capable of.

Next. It's time for the flawed WWE Draft to come to an end. dark

Toni Storm has all of the tools to be a superstar in WWE, and she’s shown that she’s just that in companies like Progress, Stardom and wXw. I truly believe that if the company gives her this tournament win, she will make the most out of it and become the next big star in the WWE’s women’s division.
