Over the course of his Illustrious career, AJ Styles has shared the ring with a number of legends. He’s also won just about every major championship in pro wrestling and his in-ring skills have been compared to that of WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Micheals.

Point blank, Styles isn’t just your average, everyday, run-of-the-mill grappler. He’s arguably the most well-rounded in-ring competitor of his generation.

That short summary of The Phenomenal One’s resume is quite impressive, to say the least.

That’s why it makes for such a debatable topic when someone asks why Styles is being booked to be in a tag team with Omos, as opposed to continuing what’s already a legendary single’s career.

For some, the answer seems obvious enough: Styles has been a main event player in WWE for several years. The man is in his 40s now and it might be time to utilize him in a way that elevates other superstars to the level that he’s on.

As for the other side of the fence, It probably goes something like “Omos is a waste of time, he can’t wrestle, this whole tag team idea is the pits, and Styles is wasting his last few peak years hanging with a guy that’s all size and has no talent.”

Regardless of which side you fall on, it’s always a good idea to respect the differences of opinion in regards to pro wrestling.

As for the fans who see Styles’ time with the 7-foot mammoth of a man as a total waste, this unlikely stable of near-polar opposites might grow on you in the future. Or they may break up before you know it.

On the other hand, Styles is getting older and he’s accomplished pretty much everything there is to accomplish in the squared circle. Why not use his last few remaining years to book some dream matches? You never how much Styles has left in the tank or if he decides to hang up the boos, unexpectedly.

So, what are the answers? Is AJ Styles being used the correct way? Or is he being seriously underutilized toward the end of his wrestling career? Would he be better suited in AEW or should he live out the rest of his wrestling career in WWE?

What direction do you think The Phenomenal should go, once he makes his return.
