NXT 2.0 is all about the development of new stars. While fans will miss the brand that Triple H developed, and the inclusion of many of the independent stars that hardcore wrestling fans enjoy, WWE is making a commitment to building personalities that fit into their style of “sports entertainment.” These three names stand out as performers that fans should keep a close eye on as they can be big stars in the near future.

Gigi Dolin

While Mandy Rose is at the focal point of NXT 2.0’s newest faction, Toxic Attraction, it’s Gigi Dolin who has many fans abuzz. Dolin, formally known as Priscilla Kelly, has been ready for the spotlight long before even stepping into the squared circle. The former “My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding” participant turned pro wrestler made major waves in promotions such as Shine, Evolve, and even All Elite Wrestling.

Dolin’s spotlight has been growing for many years, so it was only natural she would be making her WWE debut in the second Mae Young Classic Tournament. Despite being eliminated in round one, the former Gyspy Queen would be quickly snatched up by WWE Developmental. After toiling in NXT’s midcard for a few months Dolin would then forge an alliance with Mandy Rose and Jacy Jayne, later christened as Toxic Attraction.

The faction has very quickly jumped to the top of the NXT 2.0 women’s division with their recent championship acquisitions. Their quick rise to the head of the class can only serve as another side effect of NXT’s new direction. One can’t deny their collective talent and appeal, but it’s Gigi Dolin who many have already chosen as the breakout star of the trio.

Joe Gacy

Joe Gacy has been making a name for himself on the independent scene for several years now. Growing from one-fourth of the tag team present for the “The Most Illegal Move in the History of Wrestling” to a prominent indy standout. One need only look at his work in the likes of Combat Zone Wrestling, Evolve Wrestling, and Catalyst Wrestling to see his talents on display.

With a thrilling mix of brutality and agility, Gacy’s gimmick went hand in hand with horror visuals. That made it all the more befuddling when he was recently repackaged as what can best be described as an interesting depiction of a “social justice warrior”. From his Right to Censor style outfit to his weirdly calming pattern of speech, it’s a far cry from his previous presentation.

But as weeks have passed since his re-debut Gacy has started revealing darker layers to his peculiar persona. This has been cemented through his bizarre and ever-burgeoning relationship with the sinister Harland, formally known as Parker Boudreaux. It’s a curious combination of elements but this new direction might just be insane enough to propel Gacy into stardom.

Bron Breakker

If this new neon light-saturated era of NXT has a figurehead it would most definitely be Bron Breakker. The 24-year-old exploded onto our screens on the inaugural episode of NXT 2.0, taking down LA Knight in dominant fashion. Breakker, the real-life son of WCW legend Rick Steiner, would quickly showcase the clear similarities to his father.

With his impressive physique and colorful ring attire, Breakker was a clear embodiment of NXT 2.0’s new mission statement. Following this unexpected debut, the young upstart would be thrust into a feud with now-current NXT champion Tomasso Ciampa. Despite coming up short at the recent NXT Halloween Havoc event, Breakker is very clearly on the fast track for success.

With an amazing mix of size, strength, and agility — coupled with a blunt promo style — he’s very quickly establishing himself as a big deal.
