WWE Raw: Kevin Owens defeats Big E via disqualification
Another edition of WWE Monday Night Raw with plenty of action scheduled for the three-hour show. Big E was set to compete against Kevin Owens, plus the tag team titles were on the line as RK Bro took on Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler.
The night started off with Seth Rollins continuing his budding feud with Finn Balor. Rollins announced that he will be facing Big E at WWE Day 1 in January, but before he could finish his celebration, out came Balor.
Balor charged Rollins before the bell, battering him with punches and forcing Rollins to retreat outside the ring. That didn’t stop Balor from continuing the attack, throwing him over the announce table. Rollins was tossed back inside but answered with a suicide dive onto Balor, which was then responded with a sling blade.
Balor picked up the steel steps and smashed Rollins in the face, rolling him back into the ring. The bell rang and Balor immediately hit the shotgun dropkick. Balor went up top for the Double Stomp, but Rollins rolled outside, allowing Balor to hit a dive over the top.
Back from the commercial and Balor was still in control, planting Rollins with a DDT and getting a two-count. Balor knocked Rollins down and went back up for the stomp, but Rollins thwarted those plans. Rollins hit a Superplex and rolled through to hit the Falcon Arrow for a two-count. Rollins with for a Frog Splash, but Balor got his knees up for a two-count.
Rollins countered the Sling Blade with one of his own, right into a superkick for a two-count. They continued to exchange close calls, but neither man could get the win. Balor went for the 1619, but Rollins poked him right in the eye. He hit a stiff elbow to the back of Balor’s head and then the Curb Stomp to pick up the win.
Seth Rollins defeated Finn Balor via pinfall.
Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan were out for a contract signing next.
Lynch continued to denigrate Morgan as the title match was set for next Monday on Raw. Morgan fired back at Lynch using the video of Lynch crying when talking about Charlotte Flair as ammo. Their back and forth leads to a five-on-five women’s tag team match.
The tag team titles were on the line next as RK-Bro were up against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.
Roode and Ziggler immediately attack before the bell. They isolate Matt Riddle and nearly pin him after a tandem move. They continue to focus on Riddle with a slingshot DDT but he kicked out at two. Ziggler tried to hit a splash on Riddle in the corner but missed and went face into the turnbuckle. Riddle got to Randy Orton to make the hot tag and he hit a powerslam on Ziggler.
Orton went for the draping DDT but Roode pulled him outside where they tried to double team Orton and failed. Ziggler hit Orton with a superkick and Roode planted Riddle on the announce table. That allowed Orton to get isolated in the ring after the commercial break. Roode tagged back in and continued the offense.
Orton hit a belly-to-back suplex and made the tag to Riddle who went on a wave of offense about both opponents. That included a variety of suplexes, Brotons and a kick to Ziggler’s face. Roode was hit with the draping DDT and Riddle made the tag back to Orton. The RKOs were countered and Ziggler hit the Zig Zag for a close two-count.
He didn’t miss the second time, as Ziggler was planted with an RKO and Team RK-Bro retained.

Edge made his return to Monday Night Raw. He wasn’t the only man to return as The Miz walked to the curtain with Maryse. They go back and forth without a physical confrontation to close out the segment.
The Street Profits were up next in tag team action against Alpha Academy.
Otis and Chad Gable were in control to start the match, isolating Montez Ford on their side of the ring. Ford tried to slingshot into the ring but Gable caught Ford and planted him with a Northern Lights Suplex for a two-count.
Angelo Dawkins was able to get the hot tag and went on a run, hitting the Silencer on Gable before following up with a splash in the corner. Otis saved Gable from taking the Frog Splash and tossed Dawkins into the barricade. Ford came over the top to land on Alpha Academy.
Styles tried to interfere from outside but it didn’t work. Ford hit a big Frog Splash on Gable and picked up the victory.
The Street Profits defeated Alpha Academy via pinfall.
Damian Priest and Apollo Crews met in a singles match for the United States title.
Priest had the advantage early in the match, forcing Crews outside the ring. When Priest was distracted by Commander Azeez, Crews came off the apron with a knee to swing the momentum in his favor.
After the match they returned to the ring where Priest was able to take over. He landed the Cliffhanger DDT for a two-count. Priest went to launch himself over the top rope, but Azeez made the save. He flattened Crews outside the ring and went after him but Azeez pulled Priest off the top rope. He didn’t get away with it, as he was ejected from ringside.
Priest returned to the ring and began to wail on Crews, landing the South of Heaven Chokeslam from the apron to the ring. He followed up with the Reckoning to pick up the victory.

More tag team action was up next as The Hurt Business took on The Mysterios.
Shelton Benjamin started out against Dominick Mysterio and Benjamin was in trouble early until he ran through Dominick. Benjamin made the tag to Cedric Alexander who kept the offense going with a slingshot senton from the apron.
Dominick was finally able to get the tag to Rey who was able to get offense off on both opponents. He countered Alexander and sent him into the ropes to set up for the 619. They hit a double 619 and Dominick hit the Frog Splash on Alexander to pick up the victory.
The Mysterios defeated The Hurt Business via pinfall.
The ten-woman tag team match was up next as Liv Morgan teamed with Rhea Ripley, Nikki ASH, Bianca Belair, and Dana Brooke. Becky Lynch teamed with Doudrop, Zelina Vega, Carmella, and Tamina.
Morgan and Lynch started off the match, with Lynch stomping away at Morgan in the corner. Carmella was tagged in and after mocking Ripley she ran and tagged in Vega. The smaller Vega tried to roll up Ripley but was unsuccessful. The ladies continued to tag each other until Doudrop was tagged into the ring. This created a 5-1 situation where Ripley was knocked to the ground and Tamina took over.
Ripley was in trouble until she hit a big clothesline on Tamina. They then surrounded Tamina for a 5-1 situation and Bianca Belair capped it off nearly hitting the KOD.
Back from commercial and Doudrop was tossing ASH around the ring. She tagged in Lynch who toyed with the former champion. ASH nearly made the tag but Carmella cut her off at the last moment. ASH tagged in Ripley who laid out Carmella with a clothesline. Carmella was able to rebound and locked in the Code of Silence, but Dana Brooke broke it up.
This caused the match to fall apart as the women continued to interfere, hitting their staple offensive moves. Ripley went for the Riptide but Carmella escaped, hitting a superkick for a two-count.
Back from commercial and Morgan got the tag again. She started landing offense on Tamina, until she was swatted aside with ease. Morgan answered with a version o the codebreaker, but Lynch broke up the pinfall. The brawl continued on the floor as Vega and Brooke climbed the ropes. Brooke was tossed into the pile on the floor.
Morgan was outnumbered in the ring and Tamina hit a superkick for a two-count. She was still able to hit The Oblivion on Tamina and picked up the victory.

The main event of the evening was a singles match between Big E and Kevin Owens, but Seth Rollins was at ringside.
Big E came out the gates quick, dropping Owens and backing him into the corner with body shots. Owens tried to fight back but was pushed out of the ring. Big E and Owens brawled outside the ring until Owens sent Big E back under the bottom rope.
Owens was finally able to get some offense of his own going, focusing on Big E’s legs. Big E kept kicking out of the pinfalls, but Owens stayed on the leg until being pushed out the ring again. Outside, Owens slapped Rollins in the face, nearly causing Rollins to interfere. Owens dropped Big E with a short arm clothesline and went to the top rope but was stopped.
Big E followed up with forearm shots and a big splash on the apron. The fight continued on the floor where Owens hit a DDT onto Big E on the steel stairs. Back from commercial and Owens was still in control until Big E hit a clothesline. Owens didn’t stop trying to overwhelm the champion, backing him into the corner with chops and landing a Superplex.
Owens tried to mock Big E and ended up taking a series of suplexes for the trouble. Big E went for the splash but Owens got his knees up. Big E repaid the favor on the senton, answering with the splash for a two-count. Big E went for the apron spear but Owens countered with a knee. That led to the Cannonball in the corner for a two-count.
Owens charged into the corner and was hit with a Uranage for a two-count. Owens avoided the Big Ending but hit the Pop-Up Powerbomb for a two-count. Owens attacked Rollins again outside the ring. Owens went for the Stunner but Big E avoided it, hitting a clothesline. Rollins rushed into the ring and attacked Owens. Since the stipulation was in place, Kevin Owens is now added to the match at Day 1, making it a Triple Threat.
