The Usos (c) vs. The New Day [SmackDown Tag Team Championships]

In WWE, insanity would be doing the same match over and over again and expecting a different result. The New Day has defeated the Usos three times in the build to this PPV, which not only hurts the credibility of the champions and the prestige of the championships but also defeats the purpose of any hype or anticipation for this title match. In the following, The New Day has proven its superiority over The Usos as the best tag team in the WWE, so they might as well be booked to become the new champions in King Woods’ hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

The best tag team should be the champions. It makes zero sense for 50:50 booking to be implemented here with an Usos retention. The Usos have been treated as paper champions since day 1 (pun fully intended). It would help the prestige of the SmackDown Tag team Championships if they were far away from the Usos right now. The New Day can take these titles and have a fresh feud with Los Lotharios, who is currently on a feud with Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boog, on the road to Mania. This will likely turn into a fatal four-way situation involving these teams at Mania.

Prediction: The New Day

RKBro (c) vs. Street Profits/Mysterios [Raw Tag Team Championships]

WWE booked a number one contender’s tournament called an ‘RKBrounament’ to determine the next challengers for the Raw Tag Team Championships. Street Profits and Mysterios defeated AJ Styles & Omos and Alpha Academy respectively to advance to the finals. They are scheduled to battle on the December 27 episode of Raw to determine the number one contender. Regardless of who wins the match, RKBro is a lock to retain the tag titles because they are currently feuding with Alpha Academy, who will likely earn their title shot at the Rumble later this month.

Prediction: RKBro
