Imperium would be an excellent addition to the main roster tag division

WALTER should not make his way to the main roster alone.

With WALTER seemingly headed to the United States after “Walter’s Last Stand,” there’s a lot of anticipation for a potential move to the WWE main roster. If he does appear as the title threat everyone knows him to be, he shouldn’t be alone. Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner should be by his side and their work will quickly let the rest of the WWE Universe know they are one of the best tag teams in the world.

Aichner and Barthel are nearly 100-days into their second run as NXT Tag Team Champions. Both runs included many exceptional matches such as their contest against Von Wagner and Kyle O’Reilly at NXT WarGames or their match against the Undisputed Era back in July of 2020.

When Aichner and Barthel were first “split” from WALTER, with their focus being on mainland NXT while he remained in NXT UK, many wondered how they would be utilized. That concern is long gone as they’ve remained in central storylines throughout this run. Along the way, Barthel and Aichner have begun to develop stronger personalities to go along with their impressive work rates when the bell sounds. This has been a run that has helped build fans among many who were unfamiliar with their pre-NXT work.

Imperium would have a big impact for either show’s tag team division.

Hopefully, that work joins WALTER on either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown. While tag team wrestling on the main brand doesn’t get as much attention as it should, there are some great teams on this roster. Imperium could put on immediate classics with the likes of Alpha Academy, The New Day, Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode, or Team RK-Bro.

What they’ve shown in the ring is the type of tag team action fans enjoy and would help go a long way in establishing all three men on whatever roster they’d join. WALTER would have his two henchmen and it wouldn’t be a far thought to see Imperium with main roster tag gold around their waists.

WWE main roster tag teams are in a better position than most viewers and critics would recognize. If WALTER’s debut on the main roster is coming, he should bring the rest of Imperium along with him to make the trio complete. Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel would be a great addition wherever they would land.
