WWE WrestleMania 38 Predictions: Roman Reigns Will Become Immortal

Pat McAfee vs. Austin Theory [Grudge Match]

Austin Theory will defeat Pat McAfee because he is a professional wrestler who should not lose in a singles match to a commentator who won’t wrestle in the ring the next night. Theory has been building up his character in backstage meetings with Vince McMahon, so he needs this victory to prove himself to McMahon and gain enough momentum for a future title opportunity. Since he is 1-1 against Finn Balor on Raw, a rubber match for the U.S. Title would be exactly what Theory needs. In fact, he has been planting seeds for that title match by attacking Balor after matches.

Drew McIntyre vs. Happy Corbin [Grudge Match]

Drew McIntyre will not only defeat Happy Corbin but he will also be the first superstar in WWE history to kick out of the End of Days. McIntyre needs this win in front of the fans to get back into the world title picture with the likes of Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. Although he missed the opportunity for a huge pop when he won the WWE Championship at Mania 36, he can still get a huge pop for kicking the head off of the most annoying and boring superstar on SmackDown. This is merely a momentum builder for the Scottish Psychopath.

Edge vs. AJ Styles [Grudge Match]

Edge will defeat AJ Styles in their dream match at WrestleMania 38. While Edge has all the momentum in the world after his victories against Seth Rollins and The Miz, AJ Styles already got decimated by Omos and buried in the chamber by Brock Lesnar, so there’s really no need to give him a win here. Also, Edge needs to solidify his recent heel turn and nascent character. This will be the match of the night with an inevitable Edge victory. Edge will continue to pick up wins until he gets another world title shot. He will win the world title the next time he gets that world title shot.

Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins [Grudge Match]

Cody Rhodes will undeniably defeat Seth Rollins because this would be his return match to WWE. Why would Cody Rhodes call AEW the Ellis Island (a.k.a. freedom) of professional wrestling and crawl back to the “forbidden land” of sports entertainment? Well, Cody Rhodes going to WWE is quite frankly a smart business move for both companies, and he will become world champion before going back to AEW to expand his kingdom. Cody can move the needle in WWE while leaving a huge opportunity in AEW for those stars to get over in his absence.
