WWE Raw Predictions: AJ Styles Will Join Forces With Finn Balor
By Mark Justice
WWE Raw will be acknowledged as the flagship show this week because the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and SmackDown Tag Team Champions Usos are scheduled to take over Raw on the go-home show to WrestleMania Backlash. They are expected to build their recently announced six-man tag match against Drew McIntyre and RKBro at the PPV. In this week’s episode, there are neither scheduled segments nor scheduled matches as of this writing.
With that being addressed, it’s now time to preview and predict what will actually occur on this week’s episode of WWE Raw.
WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on May 2, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on the USA Network. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.
On this week’s WWE Raw, The Bloodline is scheduled to take over the flagship show. While they are expected to build their recently announced six-man tag match against Drew McIntyre and RKBro at the PPV, Cody Rhodes will be busy building his PPV match with Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley will be busy building his PPV match with Omos.
As for AJ Styles, he needs help to fend off Edge and Damian Priest. Since Finn Balor has been feuding with Damian Priest and battled him last week, it would be suitable for him to assist Styles in what would be a Bullet Club tag team.
In terms of other red brand matches that could be added to WrestleMania Backlash, the new U.S. Champion Austin Theory could end up defending his title against Mustafa Ali after their heated encounter last week.
Another match that could be added is Ezekiel vs. Kevin Owens. Owens has been livid about Ezekiel’s lies so their bout should be a lock after Ezekiel takes down Alpha Academy. Bianca Belair (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Asuka is a bold possibility after their epic returns last week as both are still owed rematches for the Raw Women’s Championship.
