WWE WrestleMania Backlash! This PPV is only five days away. Although there are plenty of contrived storylines that might be built for this event, there are some potential show-stealing matches on this card that could be thrilling to watch. The following will provide full winner predictions for the official match card. It’s now time to preview and predict the after party for the biggest event in the year on WWE’s calendar: WWE WrestleMania Backlash.

WWE WrestleMania Backlash is scheduled to take place on May 8, 2022, live on WWE Network via Peacock. Here are some match card predictions.

Drew McIntyre & RKBro vs. Bloodline [Six-Man Tag Team Match]

Drew McIntyre and RKBro will defeat Bloodline because the titles are not on the line and this is the perfect opportunity for WWE to promote McIntyre as the next top contender for Reigns’ world title. McIntyre will be the first individual to pin Roman Reigns clean since his reign commenced. This will set up McIntyre for a title opportunity against Reigns at WWE Hell in a Cell 2022 in June. Meanwhile, RKBro and Usos will battle for both tag titles and merge the tag divisions at that same PPV. The Bloodline will get their win back by winning all the gold at WWE Hell in a Cell 2022.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre & RKBro

Bobby Lashley vs. Omos (w/MVP) [Grudge Match]

Omos will defeat Bobby Lashley to solidify his nascent partnership with MVP. Clearly, 50:50 booking will be implemented after Lashley got the big win at Mania. This feud might result in a trilogy, where Omos solidifies his dominance over a former WWE Champion to propel himself to either a U.S. Title opportunity or the main event scene. Omos was never that great on the mic, so MVP is the mouthpiece Omos needs to enhance his credibility. It feels like there’s still a ceiling on Raw due to Omos’ lackluster in-ring skills but there’s still hope for him with MPV on his side.

Prediction: Omos

AJ Styles vs. Edge [Grudge Match]

AJ Styles will defeat Edge due to 50:50 booking. He lost to Edge after Priest distracted him at Mania and was introduced as Edge’s new protege. Now that Priest is banned from ringside and AJ has Finn Balor as backup, he has the ball in his court to come out with the win here. It is quite possible that someone new, like the rumored Rhea Ripley or Tomasso Ciampa, gets introduced into Edge’s new faction and costs Styles the match again. However, both are still involved in feuds with Liv Morgan and Mustafa Ali respectively so it is unlikely for them to show up here.

Prediction: AJ Styles

Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey [SmackDown Women’s Title: “I Quit Match”]

Ronda Rousey will dethrone Charlotte Flair to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. This will be Rousey’s redemption from her loss at Mania. It is clear that Charlotte’s Mania victory was nefariously executed in order to stretch this feud into this PPV. Although Rousey’s Rumble victory was delegitimized by her Mania loss, it’s difficult to blame that lazy booking decision due to the depletion of the women’s division. Rousey is known to be a quitter when she loses, but she will not be a quitter this time because the writing is on the wall for her inevitable title run.

Prediction: Ronda Rousey

Happy Corbin vs. Madcap Moss [Grudge Match]

Happy Corbin will defeat Madcap Moss because this feud will stretch out into a trilogy, in which Moss gets two wins back to win the feud on the road to SummerSlam. Since Corbin just lost to McIntyre at Mania, he needs a victory here to retain his credibility as the top guy in the mid card vortex on SmackDown. That way, when Moss defeats him, it will be a more meaningful babyface victory and propel him to a future IC Title opportunity. Ricochet will lose his title to Jinder Mahal, Sheamus, or Gunther before SummerSlam and Moss will dethrone the champion at SummerSlam.

Prediction: Happy Corbin

Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins [Grudge Match]

Cody will defeat Seth Rollins again to solidify his WrestleMania return victory. Also, defeating a former MITB Winner before WWE MITB 2022 in July is a neat foreshadowing of what’s to come for Rhodes. Since Kevin Owens is Rollins’ tag team partner and Rhodes has been battling Owens in dark matches, it is likely that Rhodes will move on to feuding with another top heel in Owens. Owens will defeat the returning Ezekiel to regain his momentum from his loss to Stone Cold Steve Austin in anticipation of a competitive feud with Rhodes.

Prediction: Cody Rhodes
