W. Morrissey is reported to be done with Impact Wrestling. Many companies would love to get their hands on the big man. Perhaps even NJPW?

Over the prestigious history of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, there have been very few Americans who show up and become IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. However, W. Morrissey at seven feet tall has all the ingredients to make it happen. Now that he has reportedly finished up with Impact Wrestling, W. Morrissey has become a catch for any company that can get their hands on him including NJPW. He has defeated the demons that had tried to drag him down and the big man is only standing taller than ever now with all of the potential in the world.

Before his release from WWE back in 2018, then known as Big Cass, Morrissey was positioned to become a top star in the company, Unfortunately, personal issues vested him and his push was canceled. However, he wasn’t going to let this misstep hold him down and he continued to become the best version of himself. He reunited with his friend nZo and fought together in the independent scene while Morrissey and nZo helped each other in their personal and business endeavors. By 2021, Morrissey found his way to Impact Wrestling and everything changed.

Despite all of the things that he was able to accomplish as Big Cass in the WWE, he really became a star as W. Morrissey in Impact Wrestling. By simply using his real name and being the monster that he can be, he took Impact Wrestling by storm and became a threat to every single person on the roster. He started out as a heel working with the likes of Violent By Design and Moose but over time he became one of the top babyfaces of the company before his time was over. If he would have stayed in the company a little longer, he would have no doubt been a world champion.

However, W. Morrissey looks to have different plans than Impact Wrestling moving forward. He has recently made his AEW debut working for MJF as an opponent for Wardlow. Although, Morrissey hasn’t been announced as “All Elite” yet. It has been rumored that the WWE is interested in bringing him back to the company. With all of the possibilities on the table in front of him, it would be wise to pick the company that can benefit the most from his presence. While he would clearly stand out in the WWE and AEW, he would become a huge deal quickly in NJPW.

In the past, we have seen big guys like Brock Lesnar come into NJPW and quickly make an impact. Although, they have never seen somebody quite the size of W. Morrissey. While currently, most foreign athletes in NJPW are heels, Morrissey would be a breath of fresh air to the company. He could come in and be a foil to the Bullet Club and be one of the only guys to have Bad Luck Fale looking up to him. W. Morrissey’s size makes him stand out among his peers, but he is more than able to carry his weight inside and outside of the ring.

Years of being the right-hand man of nZo left Morrissey more than ready to go against anybody on the microphone as well as toss them around in the ring. All of the potential that the WWE once saw in Morrissey is there and has only grown since his time in the independents and Impact Wrestling. I believe that W. Morrissey is only waiting for the opportunity to blow up and become one of the biggest names in pro wrestling. While I expect him to find success in whichever company he decides to sign with, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and W. Morrissey himself can only benefit by him signing with the company.
