Not too long ago, Simone Johnson made an announcement about her new identity in WWE as Ava Raine. There was excitement since the anticipation for her to make her debut knowing that she is signed to the company.

There was a lot of negativity and some even felt it was ignoring her clear heritage of greatness. Those claims are not only ridiculous but couldn’t be further from the truth. The name change shows that Ava will have a prominent spot as she makes her presence felt.

Why fans shouldn’t be quick to shut down Ava Raine in WWE.

The common argument right now is that the ring name Ava Raine is a bad attempt to escape her dad’s shadow. The truth is, Ava taking this route shows she is in fact embracing her entertainment roots to the core in a fantastic way.

So many fans utilized Charlotte Flair as an example with her embracing her roots to Ric Flair as a reason to shut down Ava, but it’s two different situations. Even though Ric Flair and The Rock are both living legends in the wrestling industry, the comparison is ridiculous.

The Flair name has always been associated with wrestling first and foremost, while The Rock has been associated with wrestling and entertainment. Two different career paths and different scenarios should never be compared.

When looking at The Rock’s career, he started off as Rocky Maivia, the fresh face ambitious third-generation superstar. When The Rock made those changes, he built something of his own and took everything to the next level.

Fans remember the old story of how Rocky Maivia was booed out of nearly every arena even though he was the good guy. His persona was reliant on the fact that he is a third-generation superstar and his family’s legacy.

The proof is in the pudding with how that is controversial with fans even today with how many fans have taken to social media to express how tired they are of Charlotte Flair at this point. The difference is that Charlotte added her own flair to it as an athletic and genetically superior athlete.

What fans tend to forget is that when The Rock rose up to fame, he built his own legacy that honors his families legacy. One quality that’s highly underrated is The Rock’s ability to stretch and portray personas whether it’s on Walking Tall, The Rundown, or Hercules.

It would be easy for her to show up as The Rock’s daughter or the fourth-generation phenom, but Ava is taking massive steps and fans should honestly give her a chance. She has been behind the scenes all these years and literally grew up with the best of WWE and the movie sector.

She was seen in the front row of WWE events and has been spotted for numerous movie premieres and events over the years. She’s the kind of person to silently pick up on things and that was evident from the moment she started training.

All of us truly believe Ava will surprise fans, but fans should open their mind to what it truly means when she makes her debut. Fans may be surprised by how entertained they will be by Ava Raine as it all unfolds.

The Miz’s career shouldn’t be the butt of jokes. dark. Next

It’s only a matter of time before Ava Raine makes her presence felt in WWE. All of us look forward to learning more about Ava as time goes by and learning how she will continue the legacy of entertaining fans in WWE.
