Money in the Bank is coming in July and there are a few names from SmackDown that should be involved in this major annual match.

After an eventful Hell in a Cell, WWE quickly moves forward with their next premium live event, Money in the Bank. As the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is no longer booked for the Money in the Bank event, there is so much talent that can make history in this year’s ladder match. Usually, there are eight participants in the Money in the Bank, four from Monday Night RAW and four from SmackDown. It is even in question when the winner of this year’s Money in the Bank would cash in the briefcase.

Here are four stars from SmackDown that should be in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre hasn’t been on the main event scene for some time. Being part of this year’s ladder match could help him get back in the championship picture. Last week on SmackDown, McIntyre issued a challenge to whomever the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion may be at Clash at the Castle this September. Instead of waiting three months from now, maybe he can win the Money in the Bank and choose to cash in on Roman Reigns at an earlier date.

On SmackDown, McIntyre does get a chance to qualify by competing against former rival Sheamus. With that win, he is guaranteed a spot and hoping to become world champion again.

Shinsuke Nakamura

Other than McIntyre, Shinsuke Nakamura is also someone who’s been targeting Reigns and The Bloodline. At WrestleMania, The Usos injured Nakamura’s tag team partner, Rick Boogs. Unfortunately, Nakamura came up short in winning the tag team titles from The Usos. Since he is currently dealing with an on-screen injury from that match, he could return next week and move on to something new.

Now that Nakamura is a singles competitor again, he can finally focus on winning the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, which is what has been eluding him since his debut on the main roster.

Kofi Kingston

If someone has a long history with Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, it’s Kofi Kingston. Kingston has been in seven of those matches, but not once has he won the opportunistic briefcase. It would also be interesting to see more of Kingston’s incredible and creative match moments. Currently, he and his partner of The New Day, Xavier Woods been having a thorn on their side, being The Brawling Brutes. The Brawling Brutes, Sheamus, Butch, and Ridge Holland have been targeting The New Day for months. If Kingston ends up in this ladder match, maybe WWE can put the New Day and The Brawling Brutes rivalry with The Brawling Brutes to bed.

Although Kingston has been World Champion before, it is without question that he deserves to be in the World Title scene. Ironically, it was at last year’s Money in the Bank even where Kingston last received a shot at the WWE Championship. Kingston will become the first black Money in the Bank winner if he does walk out winning the ladder match.

Madcap Moss

If Madcap Moss were to qualify for this year’s Money in the Bank, he has the potential of being seen as the dark horse. Moss has had an incredible year thus far. He won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and had a successful face turn. This past Sunday at Hell in a Cell, Moss defeated his former ally, Happy Corbin, in a No Holds Barred Match.

Hoping that rivalry is over; maybe Moss can move on to bigger and better things. Although Moss has only been a 24/7 Champion, the ladder match could prove that Moss can be a main event-worthy star on the SmackDown side.
